KDEnlive is way easier then divinci

I think there is an important distinction here between photo editing and image manipulation. Similar the the relationship between Lightroom and Photoshop

xenspidey ,

That's comparing a regular can with a crew cab.

xenspidey ,

Right, his talk about how he's not very good at computers is pretty funny. I don't understand the crypto hate on Lemmy. Although I guess I don't understand a lot of why things are hated here. I guess crypto is too close to capitalism maybe? Freedom is frowned upon here.

xenspidey ,

You being downvoted is pretty crazy... Your statement is valid

xenspidey ,

I use LLM's for two things mainly. First to help with small coding things that are tedious or I just need something to bounce ideas off of (hobiest coder) also for asking questions that Google and the like can't answer. Like "if the unit is measure is toothpicks, how far is it from the earth to the moon" stuff like that. Or ballpark approximations of things.

xenspidey ,

Sure maybe it's wrong, but seems close enough to me.

The distance from Earth to the Moon is approximately 384,400 kilometers, which is about 9,760,000,000 toothpicks laid end to end.

I like it for the use of art, I like making wallpapers for my phone or logos. I have a side business that I'll wait a logo for at some point. It makes way more sense to get it close with AI then give to an artist to tweak and give the final touches then all the back and forth and expense needed for a logo company.

1000+ Firefox for Android extensions now available – Mozilla Add-ons Community Blog (blog.mozilla.org)

The new open ecosystem of extensions on Firefox for Android launched in December with just over 400 extensions. Less than five months later we’ve surpassed 1,000 Firefox for Android extensions. That’s an impressive achievement by this developer community! It’s exciting to see so many developers embrace the opportunity to...

Is the bitwarden extension any different then just the app?

xenspidey ,

Yay, spam email servers now have full speed. Spam away! You do realize prioritizing traffic is kind of the network norm right? NN was one of those, let's fix a problem that doesn't actually exist. You know that right?!?

xenspidey ,

The things NN is trying to "solve" was never an issue either

xenspidey ,

Bless your heart

xenspidey ,

But there's never been an issue... Should Netflix pay more for their increased traffic... Yes, it's not equal to my browsing.

xenspidey ,

If it was the status quo then why have rules?

xenspidey ,

I know Lemmy is the wrong place for this, it's just another hive mind like reddit. Actual reading is what got me to this point. So maybe it's you that should do some unbiased reading.

xenspidey , (edited )

Nord says they don't keep logs. Who knows if they actually do or not.

xenspidey ,

I'm the same, it has wonderful Linux support

xenspidey ,

There is just a lot of hate for AI, and Lemmy is big on anti-capitalism so when a company is dumping a bunch of money into AI for potential profits you get a lot of hate around here. There are a lot of free alternatives to AI, but you need heavy investments to push technology. That takes money.

How to argue for making a new plant public transit friendly

My employer is planning a new manufacturing plant. I work with some of the people designing it. They currently don't have any plans to hook up to public transit, though there's a commuter train station 3 miles away. It takes 20min to bike between them or 40min currently to take a bus. The area it's in is extremely car centric....

xenspidey ,

Disclaimer: I am not really interested in this sub, but it was in my feed so I feel I could at least contribute.

You could argue till you're blue in the face. It won't change the fact that there are building code minimum parking requirements. Depending on country / state, those may vary but still required. The underground parking is most likely a design necessity

xenspidey ,

I don't, just my current experience in the building industry. If you're in the US there are minimum's in all the states I've done projects. Could be some local overrides i suppose, but generally codes are only overwritten to be more stringent, not less.

xenspidey ,

Android does that too. At least the latest versions

xenspidey ,

You all realize they don't have that money laying around to pay the IRS right? They own companies, those companies are worth that much. To pay that you would have to liquidate those companies. So no more Amazon, Tesla, Space X, etc...

xenspidey ,

Not OP, but I've tried thunder. It's OK. Sync is light years above all other clients I've tried. (same with reddit as well) swipe actions? Sync is the king of swipe actions.
