Fresh out of the devil's playbook
Hey there,...
/m/paganism...
Exactly what the title says. I was asked my current base salary, not what I'm looking for. And when I refused they tried to pressure me into answering. I don't want them doing this to other people who don't know it's illegal....
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
Note: It seems my original post from last week didn't get posted on lemmy.world from kbin (I can't seem to find it) so I'm reposting it. Apologies to those who may have already seen this....
Context: Twitter is currently rebranding it self as X.com, which is the bottom logo. X.org is a FOSS implementation of the The X Window System which is being slowly replaced by the newer Wayland display server. Because of the Twitter rebrand Someone decided to make Wayland.social, to parody the X.org to Wayland transition.
It's only been a year, what has happened to me
I just made a very large update to the list of specialized instances. It's now about 3 times the size! I normally won't be making new posts here for updates, but this was a really big one:...
Is this a joke?
Please feel free to share them else where if you like I just don't have the energy too argue with the bootlickers and generic centrists myself which is why I've avoided posting on the main meme magazines
Hey y'all, I've been using my.freenom as my domain registrar for the past six years without too many issues. I've kept it mainly because it has been cheap as balls. However, I am now looking for a registrar that supports dynamic dns and would love to hear your suggestions. The first results that pop up are google and godaddy...
A lot of us are pretty new to the fediverse and we've arrived just in time to grapple with what is easily the biggest federation/defederation controversy ever to hit it. I've put this thread together to hopefully help communicate some of the more complex ideas that we're trying to get our heads around....
Check out the pinned post for a general guide to the community that includes lots of relevant examples....
I'd probably have to go with Audiobookshelf and Kavita. Behind those would be Invidous and Immich.
The community is located on kbin. In case you don’t see any posts, no one from your instance has yet subscribed to the community. Subscribe and you’ll see new posts going forward. There are several threads there atm....
and into this drain...
Recently I found this developer who has published dozens of small, useful extensions for firefox. Nothing groundbreaking that I know of but everything looks to have been made with care to efficiency and minimal permissions to do one thing well. Each has its own github repo where the developer responds to issues....
I discovered yesterday evening that Lemmy.ml is blocking all inbound ActivityPub requests from /kbin instances. Specifically, a 403 'access denied' is returned when the user agent contains "kbinBot" anywhere in the string. This has been causing a cascade of failures with federation for many server owners, flooding the message...
I needed to make this joke just now, so I made the magazine :P Welcome to /m/TheyDidTheMath!
Recently I'm interested in decentralized technologies such as Kbin from Reddit. And I wonder what about search engine....
I've got readarr up and running, now I need a front end. What do y'all prefer and why?
Good morning /c/selfhosted!...
Since rpis have been almost impossible to find, I've been looking around for alternatives for some local self hosted services like home assistant. A lot of boards seem to talk about GPU, GPIO pins, etc. But I really just want a single board, fanless (low power), decent CPU and RAM, ethernet....
I know about PixelFed, but I'm not interested in photo sharing social media style. I just want something that works like Imgur when you upload your images as private. Maybe PixelFed has that option?...
