I don't know about others, but my period cramps often feel pretty similar to the kind of pain you feel when you're really hungry. And also lots of people get food cravings on their period. It's usually something specific they have a craving for. I usually want chocolate, honey, or croissants, but sometimes it's just food in general even if I'm not actually hungry.
Any idea what to replace the apple with if you're allergic to apples (and similar fruit)? I'd prefer to go hungry for an unhealthy length of time before I'd consider that option.
Edit: now that I think about it, people below 50kg prop don't really need that tip anyways
