No_Change_Just_Money , 24 days ago I would say more than being funnier the one way or the other, the point is to show that Heathcliff is not necessary for his own comic. The comic shows a silly situation that does not change much with his presence. The cat is just there so people know this is a Heathcliff comic. To my understanding, what people enjoy in these comics are the reoccurring characters, objects, and plot lines
