She's actually not that old, just barely 50 years old, according to an old interview with her. I know that women try to hide their age, but not in that case, she was talking about something medical in 1997, when she was 24.

Pantherina ,

Shes kinda antivaxx. So prefer a tech-incompetent but kinda politically educated grandma.

Btw now that my last Grandmother died, I find it pretty weird to talk about Grandmas?

Holy shit. In a community where everything is meant to be funny/enjoyable, you people still find a way to shit in it. Who fucking cares about her politics? Go stir up shit somewhere else.

DarkThoughts ,

Yeah, who cares about red flags and common sense these days?! Am I right?!?!

This is golden. Thank you for sharing.

edit: A comment from her under the video:

I was using Windows 7 and 8 but they became unusable because they were not getting anymore updates. Because they were both end of life and I couldn't update my software because Google Chrome and others had dropped support for Windows 7 and 8. Also I was getting crashes and everything was running so slow. So I tried Linux Mint 2 years ago and I have never looked back. I used to like Windows when we had Windows 7 but that's not supported anymore. So there is no option but to either upgrade to Windows 10 or 11. Or install Linux as I did because I did not want to use Windows 10. Windows 11 is even worse than 10. My new laptops came with that and I hated it. I was glad to uninstall it to get it off of my computer and I installed Linux Mint. It was the best thing I ever did as I don't get the problems I had on Windows. It works better than Windows 7 in fact. I only wish I had switched to Linux sooner.

Vilian ,

lmao true, the old style of linux mint is easier for older people

DarkThoughts ,

I also still prefer that standard old Windows layout on my Plasma setup. Used to install Mint for my Grandmother's first second hand laptop too though, it's a great distro for casual users.
