Tool to download APKs from play store?

Does my memory serve me correct in thinking I saw a tool on the megathread to download clean APKs from the Play Store? I believe I recall seeing some kind of tool for that. I switched to an android phone recently so now I'm settling in. Chances are good I'm just blind unless it was removed for some reason. If I recall it was an open source tool on GitHub. I'm assuming it may have been taken down by Google or something. I know websites for "clean" APKs exist, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
