Thank you again @sal for your work on mander.xyz!

Interesting to see that Photon links work differently!

Blaze OP ,

It’s how you’re supposed to make links.

So which one, the Photon's way (I guess).

Should the Lemmy-ui change the way it creates links so that those can be used by other front-ends?

Blaze OP ,

for some reason people keep making it an actual markdown link which is not what you’re supposed to do.

If my link in the OP was wrong, I just got it by clicking on the community name in the dropdown suggestion.

If that's an issue, probably something to report to lemmy ui

Good luck!

The comment link works on other platforms (e.g. mbin) on top of Lemmy

Kbin still has 3.8k monthly active users: https://kbin.fediverse.observer/dailystats

Curious to see how it will be tomorrow

Happy cake day, and thank you for your work on Mbin!

On that topic, are you guys still doing the Rust book club?

Based on this, I would almost suggest creating a third "Fediverse" community, be it on lemm.ee, sh.itjust.works or reddthat.com, communities known for honest admins, and with a group of mods that could be trusted.

However, I guess finding people wanting to mod that kind of place would be very difficult based on this kind of threads.

I didn't follow up that closely, what lead you to change your stance and federate compared to before?

Interesting, thanks!

[META] Creating a new community is easy, but to get people on board, you need to create some content.

If you create a community, please try and populate it with content. I see a lot of new communities with 0-1 posts from the mod. That's not nearly enough to get people engaged - users are going to see that it's a ghost town and leave....

Just create a post about it

If you mean about getting it featured on LW, you should ask that to Lemmy.world admins
