Yup, people have proven time and time again that they are willing to give up privacy for something simple like convenience. So as tech progresses so will the deterioration of any privacy we may have left.

FigMcLargeHuge ,

I just got an email about a new power supply board for the rpi5 - PD Power Extension Board for Raspberry Pi 5. It's on their pihut website and is $20. Has multiple input types.

Did some LLM put together minor and report and decide it was a minority report?

You have to escape the quotes....

"2\"x4\"" or use differing quotes '2"x4"'

X automatically changed 'Twitter' to 'X' in domain names, breaking legit URLs (mashable.com)

On Monday, it appears X attempted to encourage users to cease referring to it as Twitter and instead adopt the name X. Some users began noticing that posts viewed via X for iOS were changing any references of "Twitter.com" to "X.com" automatically....

If I would have said 30 years ago that people in the future would pay money for a device that lets companies basically spy on you, and then they can also sell the data, I would have been branded a lunatic and sent for psychiatric help. Yet, here we are.

FigMcLargeHuge ,

Would you like to play a game...

I wish I could upvote this comment twice! I have the same feeling about how the media and others keep trying to push this "intelligence" component for their gain. I guess you can't stir up the masses when you talk about LLMs. Just like they couldn't keep using the term quad copters, and had to start calling them drones. Fucking media.

FigMcLargeHuge ,

Maybe we just need a code word that we never tell the computers. Like a secret handshake.

FigMcLargeHuge ,

We that's some shit. I often use that to get info off of pages that I won't be clicking on normally.

FigMcLargeHuge ,

I really hope that higher intelligence beings are watching all of this from afar and getting a good laugh...

FigMcLargeHuge ,

Not sure when anyone ever thought IBM cared about employees, except maybe 40-50 years ago. They have been steadily fucking people over. I wouldn't shed a single tear if that company went out of business.
