I don't understand why people pay for a music subscription when you can just use YouTube Music (ReVanced or FOSS YTMusic clients) for the freezies.

SimpMusic allows you to login to your Google account, and will sync your YTMusic recommendations. It also has radios. :)

For games, have you tried Lutris and Bottles? These tools make it an absolute breeze to setup the games outside of Steam.

Yes, and that's where the issues lie. It will never get better because there is no competition to force Google to improve and they know that. Therefore, free reign.
