I do, I tend to pronounce it rhyming with "clown"

Yeah the instant I wrote it I knew I'd get some comments lol. I know it's "ch" + "own" but somewhere along the way my brain started pronouncing it rhyming with "clown" rather than "own" lol :p

I tag my music with Picard and then generate playlists for mpd and my phone with beets smartplaylist plugin. I'm not selfhosting though

It's because manga is read right to left, and English translations usually preserve that orientation in order to not mess with the art.
