Marin_Rider , to Memes in I'm giving them a year until lifetime licenses start to mean nothing.

yep I think osprey bags did something similar

Marin_Rider , to Technology in Desperate TikTok lobbying effort backfires on Capitol Hill

that is the most hilarious unorganic protest I think I've seen. I hope they at least got paid well

Marin_Rider , to Technology in HP wants you to pay up to $36/month to rent a printer that it monitors

this is already a thing in the corporate world though and has been for over a decade, probably longer. what we don't want is this shit in our houses

Marin_Rider , to Technology in Google gets its way, bakes a user-tracking ad platform directly into Chrome

I used to use the good browser. But then they changed what the good browser was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me.

ITLL HAPPEN TO YOU

Marin_Rider , to Memes in Something tells me this might not be a good year for games...

FC6 was the first ubi game I really disliked. same as you a few hours in and I just couldn't get into the vibe of it. I really liked FC5 (possibly in my top 10 of all time) but 6 felt like such a miss

Marin_Rider , to Technology in Vision Pro Teardown—Why Those Fake Eyes Look So Weird

Marin_Rider , to Memes in My name is Guy Incognito

back in the day (before chrome or incognito mode) I used to manually delete specific history items, individual cookies and temporary internet files one by one to leave no trace, while not making anything look suspicious, all so my nosy brother wouldn't stumble on any evidence and use it to mock me

Marin_Rider , to Technology in Fossil is quitting smartwatches

yeah I got a watch 4 for free with my s22 ultra, I gave it a good shot and used it for a few months but went back to my garmin. I simply don't need a lot of the "smart" features aside from notifications and fitness tracking, which garmin does better, and then there's the battery.... different worlds there

Marin_Rider , to Technology in Fossil is quitting smartwatches

what? my fenix 5x is going strong years later despite being a couple gens behind

Marin_Rider , to Technology in Microsoft lays off 1,900 Activision Blizzard and Xbox employees

not a chance thats 50 people. it could be 50 HR business partners alone. that 1900 could easily be entirely backoffice positions

Marin_Rider , to Technology in Gen Z falls for online scams more than their boomer grandparents do. The generation that grew up with the internet isn’t invulnerable to becoming the victim of online hackers and scammers.

things will be worrying when people Deepfake family members

Marin_Rider , to 196 in its the end of the rule as we know it

Boomers without understanding that there should never have been so many Boomers in the first place.

its literally in their name too: 'baby boomers'. too many in too short a time and they have dominated politics for the better part of a century now
