But why would you upgrade if forced? You know you will have a subpar experience. Is it because of software you use that only runs on Windows?

The software I need on Windows will live on an isolated instance of Windows 10 in a VM on Linux when the time comes that MS stops releasing security updates for 10.

In my case, I will NEVER upgrade to Windows 11. I'd rather use another OS.

But my needs might be different from yours. In my case, my music production skills just require an old version of FL Studio. I'm sure it will run fine in a VM.

Correct. I just want to remain in Linux. Plus the Windows OS will be unmaintained, so I will never connect it to the internet. So I'd be without Internet meanwhile I'm in the other partition. A VM solves that.

You could stick to Gopher.

Or use other search engines. There are hundreds. Hundreds.

Maybe not as useful as the dominant ones, though.

Imagine someone calling the police on you because you bought pepsi instead of coke. It's not about education and communication. It's about a fucking asshole doing asshole shit. You can't reason with people like that. You tell them to fuck off.

Edit: hm, he was taking two spots. Not exactly his fault, but I can understand 0.00001% more the Tesla driver. Still an asshole, though.

Edit 2: If I was in a charging station that said "For Ford vehicles only" and I saw a BMW coming in and using it, I'd be more like "How is that possible? Huh. Interesting!" Then I'd mind my fucking business.

Yeah, I know that. But why get mad at that, though? Like, if I am in a restaurant that said "For Android users only" and I see an iPhone user being served, why the fuck would I care? I'd be puzzled and intrigued. Not enraged.

New version of vikunja requires docker-compose changes (vikunja.io)

For anyone else out there who has Vikunja deployed using docker, please take note that the vikunja/api and vikunja/frontend containers have been combined into a single vikunja/vikunja container as part of release 0.23. You will have to update your compose files to reflect this change as part of the upgrade. I just went through...
