You still have Windows? Well there's your problem, you're supposed to format the entire drive when installing Linux..

over_clox ,

I'd like to add OpenShot to the video editing category

https://www.openshot.org/

over_clox ,

Sooo... I guess they're gonna be pissing in bottles...

over_clox ,

I failed the eye exam today, I first read McDonald's LOL! 🤦‍♂️

Maybe one day I'll replace my cracked phone screen.

over_clox ,

So, when will we see the orange man in an orange suit?... 🤔

over_clox ,

So what are they gonna replace them with? Kids that escaped Nestlé, or AI?...

Life pro tip:

You can totally anonymously connect to Walmart WiFi...

irrelevant@dispostable.com

The password is Walmart1

It's registered in their system as Anonymous Human

I set that anonymous "account" up a couple years ago just for my more or less anonymous phone that has never been signed into Google.

You or anyone else is welcome to use that for Walmart WiFi, fuckem, milk that WiFi!

over_clox ,

You should check out dispostable.com itself. That's kind of exactly what their email site was made for, disposable email, for when companies or services have no business with your email anyways.

It's kind of disappointing how people tend to use the upvote/downvote buttons. Sure, if it's an opinion you don't like, then downvote it to hell.

But OP is posting a link to a legit article. That's not an opinion, that's facts. Downvoting facts makes them less likely to be seen by others.

Use those buttons wisely. I don't like it any more than many others, but I'm gonna tap that upvote in hopes it might help more people see what Nvidia is doing today.

over_clox ,

Oh, good. Serves them right, for limiting the 'free WiFi' to only browse their menu.

I can find better places to get fucked in the ass, thank you.

over_clox ,

Here in my area, southern Mississippi, yes they've done that. You can connect to their network, but only for mcdonalds dot com...

☹️

No different than any other public WiFi though.

Honestly I think they did that more because people would just lurk there, like buy one single cheap item and then sit there for 6 hours on their laptop browsing Facebook or whatever.

It's amazing to me that when people try to fight against racism or sexism, they end up highlighting the very things they're supposedly against..

    over_clox ,

Why would you even try to go there?

Dark people don't get to select how their hair grows.

I'm very disappointed in your response.

    over_clox ,

What does that have anything to do with anything?

    People's hair changes pattern sometimes...

You ever find a trashy neighbor, and post a handful of signs nearby that said GARBAGE SALE?

    Me either.

    over_clox ,

    This meme needs more context.

Like, which way do you insert the dildo? And when was the last time it was cleaned?

    over_clox ,

You're close, but a mile away at the same time. It's a meth pipe, as another commenter said.

The fact that you didn't know is a good thing. Stay away from all that shit!

    over_clox OP ,

LOL! Figured you might get a little chuckle out of it.

    over_clox ,

Just another rapid disassembly, nothing to see here..

    over_clox ,

I thought the goal was to reconnect the brain to the spinal cord though.

But dude is still stuck in a wheelchair, and so far it's basically been just a fancy experimental mouse cursor? Installed in his brain? And already failing?.....

    over_clox ,

And they already killed how many monkeys testing this stuff? Last I heard was that they tested 15 monkeys or so, and 13 of them ended up dying or having to be euthanized after only a few months.

They already admitted they had problems with their brain electrodes corroding after a few months or so...

I like to keep my noodle intact thank you very much. Even if I was a vegetable, I wouldn't want a chip in my head that's known to have corroding wires.

    over_clox ,

Indeed. Hell, I'm no expert in the field, but haven't they had reliable Parkinson's brain implant devices for decades?

    over_clox ,

You totally missed my point. I wasn't shitting on the disabled fella at all. I was 100% shitting on the Neuralink chip, which is supposedly being developed and promoted as a way of fixing paralysis.

The fact that the man is still in a wheelchair means that Neuralink has achieved 0% of it's ultimate intended goal. It's just a fancy mouse cursor (and probably keyboard) so far.

    over_clox ,

Colorado has recreational weed and is in full support of right to repair? Well damn, if I ever have to move, I know where I'll likely be going!

    over_clox ,

Umm... How many did you collect break?

    over_clox ,

Well isn't that about some hypocritical shit?!

    From the article...

"The lounge, which contains some of the museum's most-acclaimed works - from Picasso to Sidney Nolan - has been closed to the public since the court's order."

Both Pablo Picasso and Sidney Nolan were both men!

If they're gonna play that 'women only' card, then they should remove all works created by men and move them to a proper open museum.

    over_clox ,

Plot twist: Alabama used to write Southern Mississippi's news papers. Not all of them obviously, but the Mississippi Press was written by the Mobile Press Register. No joke.

    over_clox ,

Shhh... You're going to summon all the stray cats.

    over_clox ,

They just recalled all the Cybertrucks, because their 'smort' technology is too stupid to realize when an accelerator sensor is stuck...

    over_clox ,

I realize it's the pedal that gets stuck, but the computer registers the state of the pedal via a sensor.

The computer should be smart enough to realize something ain't right when it registers that both the accelerator and brake pedals are being pressed at the same time. And in that case, the brake should always take priority.

    over_clox ,

    Well that's good at least.

    Thank you Jesus!

    Question..

Why did you purchase them in the first place then?

Hype? Advertising? Apple ecosystem? Lack of foresight that the batteries aren't replaceable?

Edit: Downvoters too upset to answer the question. They actually have adapters to use wired headphones on iPhones ya know.

    over_clox ,

Oh I know. I've repaired over 1000 Apple devices in my days of tech repair, and the only thing I personally gained from my experiences is that they're overpriced eggshells that are literally designed to fail.

    Planned obsolescence ☹️

    over_clox ,

Okay. I actually got a pair as a Christmas gift. Have you ever noticed them starting to dangerously overheat on a warm day, while your ears are sweating into them no less?

I'm not exactly a fan of having lithium batteries explode in my ear. I actually like my eardrums and my brain noodles.

Does anyone actually do research into this new modern stuff before figuring out if it's even safe or not?

    over_clox , (edited )

I know the left one's battery runs down about twice as fast as the right one, so yeah they're probably not in ideal condition.

When using them indoors, they only get mildly warm, nothing to really worry about. But you gotta keep in mind, some folks like to go out jogging with them in their ears.

They'll get that much hotter when outdoors on a hot summer day, and electronics really don't like sweat...

    over_clox ,

I'm confused. Why would aliens be interested in a planet full of trash and pollution in the first place?

    over_clox ,

Ah, context does help a bit. Still though, in almost any era of Earth, I don't see much reason for aliens to take interest in this complex planet, whether it's to inhabit it or destroy it.

If by chance there actually are any aliens out there observing us, they're probably laughing and watching us destroy ourselves..

    over_clox ,

Read post title, "They'd probably do it again these days", which places both a past and present day context to the post.

    over_clox ,

Do I think any of this is serious? No.

But it's food for thought. Like really, why would aliens be interested in a trainwreck of a planet such as this one, from any era?

    over_clox ,

As true as that is, we're talking about photos of a newborn infant. Like for real, who would intentionally leak photos of a newborn?

Oh yeah, that's right, artificial intelligence!

Don't feed the online machine, take the photos into a print shop via USB flash drive, and I'm pretty sure anyone with a soul will have respect for family privacy.

Not so with online cloud services though ☹️
