xep , to Technology in Neuralink to implant 2nd human with brain chip as 75% of threads retract in 1st

Considering this is pretty much ground-breaking work involving brain surgery, I think it's prudent for Neuralink to wait to see what happens instead of immediately performing another surgery. If I were in charge I'd definitely take things slowly and surely instead of trying to move fast and possibly break things.

Good news! Has the time finally come for us to buy a Dacia Sandero?

Counterpoint: sometimes it's difficult to tell if something is surveilling you, especially for laypersons.

Nobody can stop you from spending your money as you see fit, 24/7/365, from anywhere, to anywhere, instantly, and for free.

Except it's not.

Lemmy in general hates Windows.

xep , to Privacy in Digital surveillance is omnipresent in China. Here’s how citizens are coping

Where I live, I consider nothing I do on my phone private at all, and I have to act accordingly. I would be in breach of Chinese law were I to do the same in China.

xep , to Technology in What is Windows 11 'AI Explorer'? Everything you need to know about Microsoft's upcoming defining AI PC feature (including it always watching you)

I am in full agreement with your view on privacy, but I don't think that cryptocurrency is a solution. People far more eloquent than I have already fully described why elsewhere, so I'd just like to thank you for your civil response.

both technologies are interesting

AI has uses that aren't about covering your tracks or evading law enforcement.
Edit: bring on the downvotes, cryptobros.

Call me a pessimist, but it's highly unlikely WhatsApp will take any action that doesn't affect their balance sheet positively in the short term.

xep , to Technology in Microsoft is blocking Windows Customization Tools

A Microsoft representative (?) opened an issue for Explorer Patcher:

Hi Team,

This is to let you know that Win10 taskbar code is removed. And if use continue to use ExplorePatcheron Windows GE Build, they will see a crash. You only need to adjust the setup exe name to get around the block in your new version. We will continue to block ANY version that crashes Explorer.

Please let me know if you have any question.

Thanks
Michelle

Makes sense to me.
