I think you may have speeded to a conclusion.

American Motorcyclist Association Urges DOT to Act on Automated Driver System Regulations Following Tragic Collision (americanmotorcyclist.com)

PICKERINGTON, Ohio (April 26, 2024) — In the wake of the most recent tragedy involving a fatal collision between a Tesla vehicle in autopilot mode and a motorcyclist in Washington state, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) once again urges the Department of Transportation (DOT) to strengthen Automated Driving System...

Calling their driver assistance program autopilot would have resulted in Tesla being sued into the ground for false advertising long ago if we lived in a fair system.

I think the progress we've made on driverless vehicles is pretty amazing and I really want to live in a world where they work - but we're not there yet and some idiots are under the impression we are.

Society at large.

I stand with that sign, H.W. and W were more than enough... say no to dynasties.

This is basically the current international struggle. Fascist assholes are awful, but neoliberal assholes are also shit... the neoliberals keep chugging along until a country gets fed up and votes in a fascist just to give it a try because the neoliberals aren't working. Then you get all the proud boys and neo-nazis coming out of the closet and, in many cases, the mechanisms of democracy get damaged to the point where its difficult to actually get another fair election.

This is the problem and the solution (pushing out corrupt/ineffective neoliberals in favor of actual liberal representation) is fucking hard. It's especially broken in America where there is no reasonable way for a third party to gain ground - the liberal party needs to be torn down from the inside like the tea party did to the Republicans.

Parking on the grass is a skill few people have. We believe you might be the chosen one who can fulfill the grass-parking prophecy. You are our Kwisatz Haderach and our voice from another world.

The removal of cars is awesome... the decrease in corner stores less so.

Yesish, it is a good framework for a game and has lots of potential but there are too many flaws and broken features. I personally think that the Ryujin Industries quest line is a pretty worthy dozen of hours - it's hampered by interacting with half finished systems though... and that's pretty much the standard game wide - good locations or questlines that suffer from the poorly built open world.

After that initial encounter raiding the pirate base did you explore that planet and go to another site on that world? I did, it's what I'd assume most open world players do... Skyrim really rewarded that - even ESO sort of rewarded that. Starfield does not.

I definitely prefer bollards since drunk people can barrel their truck through this style of gate but bollards... bollards are going to stop that shit.

xmunk ,

I appreciate this... but I do also wish it was wealth or car model scaled.

xmunk ,

I don't even have a driver's license... it's because my cock is so massive I can only safely transport it on high speed rail.

xmunk ,

Hell yea brother. What we need is cities that cater to walking and better public transit.

xmunk ,

As much as I celebrate metros... This city is built in the middle of a desert and only exists because of an immense amount of oil being burned to power gigantic desalination plants. It is hardly sustainable even with a metro.

That said, metro is better than no metro.

xmunk ,

It's comfort, primarily... Americans are big and bigger cars are more comfortable if you're less flexible.

xmunk ,

E-scooters, especially rented ones, are pretty awful for cities and the environment. This isn’t a strong argument.
