Poor guy! That happened to a kitty of mine when I was a kid, with the same symptoms. We caught it early and he was fine, but it was a scary couple of days while he stabilized at the vet. I hope your furry child is alright.
If cats just weren't so secretive and weird, instead throwing up all over the carpet and making a scene like dogs do, treating their issues would be so much easier.
