givesomefucks , in Biden Just Effectively Killed a Report on Israeli Actions in Gaza

Crazy how when we want Biden to do something, all I hear is

Biden isn't a dictator! He can't just do stuff because his voters want him to!

Yet shit like this where his voters want him to at least step aside and let things happen, suddenly he's a man of action.

It's not that Biden can't give voters more of what they want and less that they don't, he just doesn't want what his voter base wants.

He'll do what he wants and if we don't like it we get trump.

This is not sustainable as a political system.

You might want to update the title.

TheAlbatross , in ‘A nightmare’: Special counsel’s assessment of Biden’s mental fitness triggers Democratic panic

They're both too old and out of touch. It's an embarrassment that either of these candidates are "the best we got".

Neither party gives a fuck about Americans, only gaining power and wealth.

WndyLady , in “You’re Telling Me That Thing Is Forged?”: The Inside Story of How Trump’s “Body Guy” Tried and Failed to Order a Massive Military Withdrawal

All the seriously messed up stuff aside, this line made me giggle.

Some inside the White House called McEntee’s staff “the Rockettes and the Dungeons and Dragons Group.”

Semi-Hemi-Demigod , in Teamsters president says he's asked the White House not to intervene if UPS workers go on strike

I don't think Biden will intervene in this case. It's one company that's going on strike, not a whole system of transportation. The economic impact will be significant but limited, as there are others that will pick up what slack they can.

Of course, this means that to preserve the right to strike we need to break companies up so they're not too big to fail.

Justanoni ,

I can tell you right now no can pick up the slack fedex maybe can take an extra 600k in the their system. Put it in perspective that's the normal for the memphis night sort. It going to be very ugly.
