Free VPN recommendations?

Hello, now that the free tier of Proton doesn't let you select a country anymore, I can't access my japanese exclusive browser games so I'm searching for a new free VPN just to login.

I know all that you are the product if it's free bla bla bla, I just want free one that let's me connect from Japan, that acts more like a trial since I don't use a VPN enough to pay monthly for it.

You can set one up yourself in Oracle cloud always free tier

That works well if you can get signed up. Keep in mind that you can't change the location one you sign up though.
Just don't do anything on it that will get copyright complaints, they will likely terminate your account if you get one.

Windscribe has a free version that gives you 10GB/month worth of data. Some sites do block their IP addresses though but it is worth a shot.

You can select the country if you don't use their app and instead set it up manually with OpenVPN.

Should work, I'm still connecting to the countries I have downloaded the config file for without any problems.

I just tried to download the config files myself and Proton won't let me unless I have a paid account. I can't get yhe ones I need with a free account

You can only get the configs file of the same servers that are open to the free tier.

SoftEther VPN was kinda popular here and has many servers in Japan open to everyone.

It's mostly DMM that does it, I wanted to comeback to Umamusume but the DMM launcher doesn't let you log in without a japanese VPN anymore.

That sucks. How about playing that in an Android emulator? That way you don’t need to login to DMM launcher.
