Sorry for the Necro (browsing top of all time) I reckon it's also us all going from one shitty thing (our AGAB, or windows) to a better thing, same as a lot of us mod video games, or get alternate email clients, eg. We change so much of our life to live a better one and think "hey I can do that to this part of my life, fuck this thing I'm going to replace it with something else"
The complete customization of Linux is just so appealing to trans people for some reason... No idea why changing anything and everything about something at a whim would be a big draw to the trans community...
