Yeah, Hawaii is huge and Idaho is way smaller than it actually is, despite it being right behind Hawaii, alphabetically.

Have you been on a dating app? The experience is extremely gender specific. Men spend their time sending out as many likes as are available, and women spend their time sorting through likes they get. This is the experience for either gender unless you're at the very high or low end of the desireability spectrum.

Having lived there, Houston to College Station to Waco is 100% ugly. Really all of East Texas. I admit the hill country is pretty decent.

I moved to Seattle, though. Most Texans don't know what they're missing.

June is a great time to go back. I always dream of being a snow bird and just living in Seattle when the weather is great (June through Sept), then going somewhere warm and deserty for the winter.

Probably very few. The bias for these companies is in false negatives, not false positives, since false positives create controversy when students appeal a ruling.

Never had this issue when I had an iPhone. I was super annoyed by the snooze button being so big, though. Made me think I phone users must be lazy as shit. Who needs a snooze button that's bigger than the "dismiss alarm" button?

In the US people working the tills are usually TOO nice and you don't want to make smalltalk with them. Only in NYC have I encountered rude till people, and even there, most are pretty pleasant.

Obligatory capitalism is bad too (but at least I'm in less danger of getting vanned in the middle of the night for insulting random great leader - attemtping to undermine the social order or whatever they called thoughtcrimes.)

Maybe you are, currently, in the United States of Europe. But this is really more a function of liberal democracy than capitalism. You could get vanned for saying the wrong thing about the great leader in quite a few capitalist countries. You'd be in high danger of having pretty terrible things happen to you for saying the wrong thing in the US until pretty recently, and the US has been capitalist pretty much since its inception.
