Duranie ,

I don't think that was being stated as a point of pride. It's just the shitty state of things here.

Ham, pineapple, onions, green peppers, and jalapenos, no sauce. One of my favorite pizzas.

There's enough goodness that you really don't need pizza sauce on it, or at least I've never come across a sauce that works with pineapple. But the flavors and textures work well together.

She may have insecurities, unsure of how her body looks or smells, or whether or not she's "normal" down there. Fear of judgement can be a huge mood killer. When I was growing up I was never told there was anything wrong with me, but discussion of bodies was rather taboo. It took MANY years before I was comfortable with myself. Also, if she's ever experienced any trauma, that could make her less comfortable as well.

Are you guys able to have discussions about intimate matters? What turns you on, what kinds of touch, how and where? She may or may not know why she's not comfortable with it, but communication is so important for the health of the relationship. Patience, kindness, and to be supportive and non-judgemental of each other goes far with intimate matters.

Yet the price is in euros...

Point being, the US is fucked but we don't have the monopoly on it.

Duranie ,

Let's reframe this a moment -

Wealthy person 1 "you ever go hungry?"

Wealthy person 2 "no, not at all"

Wealthy person 1 "I have no idea what that poor person was complaining about."

Duranie ,

I'm in a southern Chicago suburb. Yesterday it was over 70 degrees, last night we had hail and tornadoes, then I wake up to snow flurries. There are trees and plants doing things they shouldn't for weeks and I suspect my spring allergies are already starting.

While part of me is embracing the "milder" days, it's also a bit unnerving.

This is what its like working in childcare. Kids do stuff like this all the time.

Duranie ,

Definitely different handwritings going on. My guess is someone fucking around with a younger siblings homework.

Duranie ,

Evolution has already selected the helicopters to escape police detection.

Duranie ,

Very close - the cop and his partner emptied their guns at the car where the suspect was cuffed in the back seat, but never physically wounded him, just severely traumatized him.

Duranie ,

For marketability, it's horrendous. While I'm open to dramatic, unique, and off the wall stuff it's still not my taste.

BUT! I would absolutely take advantage of the discount I'd get on the property after it's spent over a year on the market. I also wouldn't be in a rush to remodel, but would look for ways to highlight it till the novelty wore off.

Growing up in an environment where mistakes were unacceptable sets the stage. Our willingness and ability to understand that that's fucked up and change our attitudes about mistakes takes more growth.

For some people it's easier to dig in their heels and double down.

Not a Texan, but as I understand if a state connects to other states then there are federal regulations that need to be followed.

An irritating number of companies make it inconvenient to just view a menu, and want you to "Start your order!" to see prices and availability. I get that certain items are regional so entering a zip code makes sense, but if I just want to look at a menu and prices to see if I even want to do business with them I shouldn't have to create an account.

That said, for convenience purposes I'll occasionally order food online or over the phone so it's ready by the time I'm driving past on my way home and pick it up.

    Duranie ,

Human? I thought you were an albatross. 🤨

    Duranie ,

Yep - Garmin Venu 3 here. I just charged and it's telling me 15 days of battery, but with my use I'll probably charge it in 12-13 days.

I work in hospice making home visits, and yesterday was a bad day. Sucks when you're out making visits and missing notifications about change in patient conditions and death notifications. Before Teams they used a paging system that was glitchy, but everyone understood it was shit so there was an additional level of contact to ensure workers got relevant info when needed. Yesterday half the day went by before people realized the system was fucked.

    Duranie ,

The hospital provides phones and has us use Teams for remote meetings and other communication. Official patient information is always recorded through Epic/Haiku. Since the majority of the staff is in the field, they'll use Teams to communicate throughout the day for staffing updates and to notify us of deaths - particularly helpful if you're me driving to the patients house and planning on giving them a massage lol.

    Duranie ,

I mean, it's hospice lol. I work with some of the most compassionate, respectful, and caring people I could ever hope to work with. We also tend to have a macabre sense of humor. 🥴

    Duranie ,

Weird. I work in hospice. We somewhat regularly get patients signing in because of COVID/COVID effects, but I can't recall the last time someone signed in because they had "really bad flu." It's almost like one is still significantly worse to get.
