But these open models don't really take new input into their models at any point. They don't normally do that type of inference training.

Does the form factor between 3.5" and 2.5" matter in a NAS server? (slrpnk.net)

Been finding some good deals on 2.5 disks lately, but have never bought one before. Have a couple of 3.5 disks on the other hand in my Unraid server. Wondering how much it matters wether I get a 2.5 or not? What form factor do you prefer/usually go for?

Just go all out, and gamble that in 5 years the technology will be here to actually make it all function like your dreamt it would. And by then you are the defacto name within that space and can take advantage of that.

Best is probably just ollama and use danswer as a frontend. Danswer will do all the RAG stuff for you. Like managing / uploading documents and so on

Ollama is becoming the standard selfnhosted LLM. And you can add any models you want / can fit.

We are also in the process of looking of ways out of VMware. Have also cancelled projects investing further into the stack. (NSX)

It sucks in a way, I'd rather work on other things than system migrations but has to be done.

We have about 10.000 VMs for reference

Find can find stuff based on permissions or other variables and interact with files, like delete etc

Locate is just a database of filenames
