Not with your Google account directly. You create a Firefox account that is client-side encrypted, and you'll probably use your Gmail for that. Then, you can import your bookmarks/passwords from there. This might be a good time to move your passwords to an actual password manager like Bitwarden.

At that point it will be forked yet again, and that fork will take over. Mozilla is a very active open source member though.

Google somehow throttles YouTube on Firefox.

Because they do. A while back, it was discovered they were injecting delays if they detected Firefox as your user agent.

There are already fully autonomous taxis in some cities. Tesla is nowhere near fully autonomous, but others have accomplished it.

Fair, but when a company is given the authority to run fully autonomous taxis in cities that's a huge accomplishment. Granted they are cities that don't see things like snow storms and I'm sure there is a good reason for that.

People have problems with Nextcloud? You only have to be careful when upgrading major versions of Nextcloud or its database. It's your fault if you're using the latest tag.

In over 5 years? Like when containers and flatpaks became popular and include all their dependencies? Or when RHEL8 introduced app streams to help combat dependency issues?

No way. So far, my 30s are the best. I can actually afford to do all those things I wanted to do in my 20s now. Until my health takes a major hit, I suspect life will continue this trend.

These are things that need a subscription, though... These are remote features that require internet connectivity and application serving. Things that don't just come with a one-time fee. These are actual services being provided by Kia or Hyundai. This isn't the same as putting a hardware feature of your car behind an arbitrary pay wall.

You would still have to pay an ISP to connect it, but an open source, self hosted version would be ideal.

How much of a safety issue would it really be? Cell phones didn't really become a thing for my age range until high school. If there was an emergency, there was a landline in the classrooms.

On Reddit I remember getting called a "space Karen" for pointing this out in a discussion about Starlink. Elon Musk fanboys are some of the worst. Second only to Q fanboys.
