Sure but holding volume up and power until the phone vibrates is a much faster and easier method and there is little worry you might accidentally call 911. Itā€™s also easier to do without looking.

It has a countdown before calling with vibrations on every number.

Can they force you to look at your phone though? Attention aware Face ID requires eyes ball on screen.

And as others have stated, holding volume up and power u til the iPhone vibrates locks the phone requiring the passcode.

For me itā€™s much easier to lock the phone by holding any volume and power then to remember the sequence needed to force power of the phone.

Clicking 5 times on power is probably faster, but I forgot that existed and if Iā€™m trying to do something quickly essentially squeezing my phone is easier than trying to tap the correct side 5 times quickly under pressure. And much easier to me then trying to remember the force power off sequence and performing it without looking under stress.

Especially on the iPhone 15 pros there is now another button so getting the up down up power means finding the correct up button.

Iā€™ve looked up that sequence numerous times when Iā€™ve needed to force reboot and I still forget it half the time.

I had this as well, itā€™s because the pinned version will still be pointing to the old version even after you agreed to upgrade.

You have to unpin the old version, and pin the new version.

That last line is the solution though, choose a linter, enforce all style arguments, so they are just the way the code is. No arguments.

Every single project I work on is setup with prettier. With Java there is a maven plugin that runs it on compile. And with ts projects it is part of the built pipeline.

I wish I could use prettier for Abap, reminds me how much I like having an opinionated formatter. I donā€™t like wasting time formatting code manually.

Abap has one formatter that is not very opinionated, and lets way more to much wierd spacing through, especially for a language that is as verbose as abap.

Allman or even horstmann I could still deal with, the rest would be difficult.

Though none are as bad as whoever came up with right aligning all the brackets to make any code look like python until you spot the deranged line of brackets on the rightā€¦

    When I initially read your version I didnā€™t even notice what was different. I think the article makes a lot of good points, and rereading the original and your version, I see the difference.

    The mindset that annoys me is people being mean and closed minded, and malevolent ignorance. so why use a bad proxy for like stupid, for the actual behavior and attitude that I have an issue with.

    Iā€™ve seen similar arguments for not body shaming people for being toxic trolls, and found it quite compelling.
