For as long as Google is part of FAANG, they will have a nearly unlimited supply of fresh grads to burn through, and fresh grads still line up to work there to get that name on their CV.

What I would really like is having a combination between 'all' and 'subscribed' where it shows 'all' posts, but then my subscribed communities get a sort of amplification so they are more likely to appear in my feed, even if posts in my subscribed communities may not get much engagement.

650 what though? 1st of the month there's 650 freshly dead bodies at your doorstep.

I live in a city that has 'good' transit by North American standards. It's 25km from my house to the office, and takes about half an hour to drive. If I were to take the supposedly 'good' transit, it would take 2 hours each way. That would mean that both my spouse and I would leave home before our kids even wake up, so they would have to manage getting themselves out of bed, fed, and off to school with no parent in the house, we would get home far too late to take them to any extracurricular activities, never mind making sure they eat healthy home cooked meals. I could move closer to the office, but then my COL would increase by 2-3X, meaning that all the good stuff I can afford for them now would become too expensive.

So sure, I have transit, but it's fucking useless.

Throw in S-210, which could likely support face tracking tech for age verification, also handled by a third party. I thought Nineteen Eighty-Four was supposed to be a cautionary tale, not a playbook...

And more often than not, the people that left were the higher performing employees. Penny-wise, pound-foolish.
