Wow, I completely forgot about that game.

Ah, so I did. Not sure how I managed that, considering how relevant those points should be here.

Obnoxious, lying, seditious, narcissistic, rotting corpse vs. tired, confused, rotting corpse.

Well, that's something I haven't heard in a long, long time.

Eh, we can leave our cats for a week with plenty of food, etc., and they're still thrilled when we return.

You're absolutely right. I meant it was "acceptable" -- I don't recall hearing people judged for saying it, but that was among an immature, high school crowd. It was definitely considered offensive to use as a label, rather than an insult (which was on the same level as f*g; not acceptable, but commonplace).

I don't think I've used the word once since high school. Had it been generally unacceptable back then, I wouldn't have done so. I graduated high school in 2004, and it was at least an acceptable insult back then (though not to call a disabled person), I think. I was a jackass in high school, though, so I could be wrong.

Either way, it offends people now, so we shouldn't say it. It's that simple. Deliberately offending people just makes you an asshole.

Excuse me, yellow is Joy, green is Disgust, purple is Fear, blue is Sadness, and red is Anger. Anyone who has seen Inside Out should know this. Anyone who hasn't seen it should rectify that mistake.

Squirrel , to Mildly Infuriating in This used book that I bought for 12£ on the internet was apparently previously bought from Oxfam for 1.99£
@Squirrel@thelemmy.club avatar

It is tacky to leave the sticker on there with the lower price, but you are the one who paid 12£. How does it matter what they paid? If they search for books to resell at a profit, that's time spent, risk taken, and money earned.

Funny, the whole thing is supposed to be applicable. They can't just ignore the parts that fit your terrible atheist agenda. And these points certainly aren't a matter of ignored context.

I've actually had other Christians argue against the message of love preached by Jesus, saying it's inapplicable here or there. Of course, I can't be a true Christian if I want equal rights for "the gays," healthcare for all, or any of the other various far left (for the US) views I hold.

Note: I'm a Christian who firmly supports the separation of church and state, sooooo...
