We already have tightened regulations. In the USA you can no longer buy antibiotics off the shelf. You have to now get an RX. We here in the US aren't really the main driver of this. It's been mainly foreign beef production in countries where there is little regulation.

Lol I mod multiple large subs. I hardly ban anyone and am very pro free speech. People bitch about changes and target me and my fellow mods but we ignore it because it's petty drama at the end of the day. My point still stands, if you get emotional and abuse your power like this mod did because some user talked shit about you, you're a terrible mod. Judging by your comment, you have no clue what you're talking about, but that's typical for the Internet.

No you brought up how you mod a discord, and how you think you should jump into petty drama to solve problems. The mod in question removed comments that were critical of them, meaning they fed into drama. I made a statement, that points out that being a mod requires thick skin and if your feelings get hurt easily you shouldn't be a mod.... apparently a bunch of thin skinned mods/people didn't like that.

Which makes my point stand. If it's effecting your mental health, modding isnt for you. How no one here is understanding that is beyond me. Being a mod/admin on anything that deals with people/the public is a thankless job and requires thick skin.

No we do not, I cannot stand this stupid regurgitated lie. You cannot eat the food they do. You cannot eat spoiled food, you cannot eat grass, you cannot eat roots and stalks, 85% of what they eat is from foraging...and you cannot grow crops on the mass majority of the land that they live on.

Good luck planting plants in areas that cannot sustain them, where a large portion of animals grazy and are raised on.

It's not cheaper to grow crops, the amount of work that goes into growing crops is a reason we have a shortage of labor to harvest them. It's back breaking work and requires a ton of time. It's also not a for sure thing. One bad season and you can lose entire tons of harvest.

Let me say this again...we are not growing in any substantial way human edible food for just meat production. This is so wrong. I'll say it again...you cannot eat nor drink what livestock eat and drink. All of these "studies" love to leave that out. No one is going to stop eating meat, veganism is not something the majority of people can magically swap over to.

Tired of repeating everything...read the thread. You're studies are biased crap, it's always some vegans that run the studies and it's always got a biased lean to make the studies sound like we can magically feed 7+ billion people on plants with no issues.

That doesn't magically make it less nutritional than what it requires to feed them. 1lb of meat is not going to be replaced with 1lb of any veggies. You have to eat way more vegetables to get the same amount of nutritional value. Meat is packed with a higher concentration of most of the nutrients we need.

Do note I'm in no way saying it can replace vegetables, I like my greens, but I'm also not someone who thinks that we can magically feed the entire world on a plant diet.

It's hard to improve when the data in is human and the data out cannot be error checked back against its own data in. It's like trying to solve a math problem with two calculators that both think 2+2 = 6 because the data they were given said that it's true.

This is %100 going to get them in legal trouble with companies who used the platform to share data. It'd be like if Microsoft started using teams messages, from companies who use it at an enterprise level, to train LLMs on. This was a really dumb move from slack and I have no clue what legal team gave the green light on this.

Same way a sword or knife can be used to kill and also defend, its a force multiplier.

Yes, it's possible to practice using tools designed specifically for killing. Cars are tools designed specifically for transport, and people have contests for driving those, too.

Why is it so hard for you to accept that guns are tools designed specifically for killing? That's literally just what they are.

Because I'm not the one that suggests magically thinking banning them all will make the world a safer place. Do you think the 100lb woman can defend against a 250lb man? Or what about minorities who are threated by a few racist fucks? Or an LGBTQ+ person who has a bunch of bigots trying to kill them? Should these people just not get a gun because it's designed to kill? What tool do you suggest they use?

This entire thread chain is in place to suggest that only guns which are designed to kill, should have their manufacturs liable for what other people do with the product. No other industry was brought up, just guns. Why? Because at the end of the day, you're all for complete bans, and no amount of "nuh uh, we're fine with hunting rifles" or whatever else bullshit, that's the end goal...you just try and sugar coat it so you can try and gain some support for the idea.

Because I'm not the one suggesting that companies be liable for what people do with their products. Way more people a year die from alcohol than guns (it's like a 3xs as many) and alcohol has no other purpose but a vice, yet you're probably not going to suggest that companies be liable for drunk drivers who kill people, nor are you going to suggest that they cover all the alcohol related health issues...are you.
