I've never heard fs-tab in my life. Always f-stab. Hmmm...

gun-zip just rolls off the tongue better. Two syllables instead of three? Yes, please.

I'll join this.

I commented on a motorcycle thread a few days ago where the poster said "bike from 1982, over forty years old" (or something to that effect) where I had to do the math and realize... Shit... That was forty years ago.

I'd been looking for the nudge to cancel and the last round of ads did it for me.

Host it yourself with Ladder : D

https://github.com/everywall/ladder

I started hosting this when 12ft wasn't working for many things. I told a friend and they said "what about 1ft?" Which I hadn't seen before. Now that other commenters said 1ft is shutting down, I'm glad I went ahead with self hosting Ladder

Also might check out /c/selfhosted for more self hosting info.

I can't think of how there could be any but I'm not a lawyer 🤷

You're just preventing unwanted content from reaching your device.

We got a phishing campaign at work awhile back with an attachment named "OktaAccountStealer.pdf"

... I was impressed. What I really want to know is how many people opened it anyway.

Is the eye murdering deck OLED PWM flicker problem in this video?

I'm on mobile with very little bandwidth so I can't check.

I respect that.

The sites shouldn't have to maintain that but browsers should?

Also, some browsers are open source.

There's so many problems with this idea that I don't know where to start. But, I do see where you're coming from.

I've noticed over the last few years that you can always find new releases but "old" material is increasingly unavailable. .

Want the new super hero movie that released last week? Easy.

Want 1984's "The Last Starfighter"? Good luck....

Music Piracy Is Back, Baby (gizmodo.com)

"Muso, a research firm that studies piracy, concluded that the high prices of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music are pushing people back towards illegal downloads. Spotify raised its prices by one dollar last year to $10.99 a month, the same price as Apple Music. Instead of coughing up $132 a year, more consumers...

"when pigs fly: the death of oink, the birth of dissent, and a brief history of record industry suicide"

Look it up if you haven't read it, I never miss an opportunity to post it but it looks like the original demonbaby host is now offline. There are mirrors though.

:: laughs in shabby, bearded, cave dwelling developer ::

I'm sure it might help for cold contacts (HR first look?) and things like that, especially without a strong background/CV. But in my limited experience nobody cares if you're good and good to work with.

I say "limited experience" because I've stayed at my last few jobs between 5 and 17 years each. So I've not really been switching that often and therefore usually not actively seeking new positions.

This has been commonplace for decades. The government agencies went big into it after 9/11. Funny thing was that I found out about it from a competing company telling me about how the company I worked for at the time was doing it.

I should note that I'm firmly against it, just that it's not new.

It's illegal to spy on your own citizens in the US, but completely okay if someone else does the spying and you buy the data.
