Drones trespassing in my property

Idk if anyone had a similar problem before, but I live in EU by the countryside, at first there were only a few but now it happens more and more often to see drones passing over my house, I am sure they are civilian drones because law enforcement has no reason to use them since the area is quiet (and honestly I doubt they would...

Unless it's a shotgun firing birdshot. This is why in many places you can hunt birds, it's really the only type of firearm you're allowed to use, because when shot at an upward trajectory, the pellets do not maintain enough velocity to be harmful when coming down and harmlessly fall to the ground. Anything rifled though is a different story, because its that spin on a bullet or a slug which allows the projectile to maintain its velocity and be dangerous when coming back down.

True but it also depends on where you go. In Canada for example, this detail is explicitly taught to anyone who goes through the process of getting a firearms license.

I'm aware of 802.11 lol, But i'm wondering about papers or sources talking about the feasibility/usability of bouncing it off of the ionosphere using something like shortwave to achieve the objective originally stated.

What makes 802.11 effective is that it exists in the GHz band and as a result it can move a lot of data very quickly, but you need a low frequency to allow a radio signal to be reflected back to earth without escaping into space instead, so speeds would suffer greatly. Just wondering if there are proposals on how to make it usable in the low frequency bands so that you could reflect it back to earth and also not have to wait 7 years for an image to load.

Furthermore for this to work you would need a relatively high powered radio setup on your end to send messages back to the source youre receiving from if you don't intend to just receive data.

I think that's slightly critical of Damaris.

They are asking a question regarding something they do not understand.

It is a true statement that roads are used to transport goods and services.

They then simply ask who in the video is carrying goods and products into stores/homes, and how workers move goods from ports to the stores.

They don't know how a system like this works when it comes to, for example, stocking a grocery store, because they have not worked or lived in a place with infrastructure like this.

It's just ad hominem and poor practice to call someone blind when they aren't familiar with something, particularly when they seem interested in how it works, and works contrary to convincing people of the cause.

If someone has worked with punch cards to program a computer all their life, and someone showed them software written the python programming language and they said:

"But the punch card is so that the computer can read in bytes to know what to do, in this text I don't see any bytes, there's nothing telling the computer if this is little endian or big endian, it all looks like a book. How does the text tell the computer what to do?"

Then my response would NOT be "Well the list comprehension here is yielding a range of numbers which are sent to the print function, and this class is acting as a signal handler. Aside from punch card brained, you're also blind".

My response would be a very happy opportunity to explain to them the benefits of a modern programming language versus punch cards, and how it works in comparison.

Unless this is a person known to be explicitly anti-bike and pro-car, it is bad to be this critical of them and works in no one's favor.

AirVPN is pretty nice, they offer DNS and port forwarding services as well which is quite convenient if you need a human readable hostname for a device over the internet.

Got a few years for a really good price a while ago too, they occasionally have good sales.

This is our government in a nutshell. Don't like guns? Ban them from licensed owners instead of working against smuggling or changing the license requirement from a PAL to an RPAL. Don't like gas cars? Ban them instead of working on public transit and infrastructure. Don't like the flipper zero? Ban it instead of either licensing purchase and use like a billion other radio devices that exist, or holding car manufacturers responsible for ass security practices.

Can't wait to find out what they don't like next, I wonder what they'll do? /s

This is how every licensed gun owner in Canada has felt for years. You can go read how they word those laws to get a good idea of how they would go about wording this one. It's not great.

It won't work. Ever. VPN's free and paid exist, File sharing exists, Torrents exist, AI pornography generators exist, freenet, tor, I2P all exist. There is no action a government could take that would have any true impact in this regard unless they made the use of the internet illegal, and even at that, it would create a black market in which such things could still be purchased as physical media.

All this does is allow government entities to infringe on privacy rights further by doing what they have always done - hiding behind children.
