It will suck when the old wizard gets tired of being a frog and realizes he doesn't have the limbs to turn himself back into a human.

    I don't want to say "I told you so", but I told you so.

    Girl: Sorry, but I'm not interested.

    Guy: Stupid fat bitch slut!

    Who responds like that?

    Edit: Removed unnecessary statement.

    lol @ the schmucks feeling threatened by men giving their opinions or feel the need to preemptively post personal attacks.

    @vegantomato@lemmy.world avatar

    I don't have to be a woman to know that men generally don't respond like that. This is silly.

    I've never seen a man respond like that to being rejected, ever.

    I understand what you are saying, and I don't want to invalidate your concerns. I can see now that this comic resonates with women more than it would with a man.

    That's absolutely disgusting behavior. Maybe I've been lucky with the people around me.

    I think @Kusimulkku expressed what I wanted to say better than I did. Yeah, calling you a schmuck was unnecessary. Sorry if that offended you, no really.

    I can't relate at all either from personal experience. My concern when reading something that I cannot relate to is that what I'm reading could have been astroturfed. We are in a pseudonymous discussion forum where anyone can LARP as anything and make shit up. It's not a stretch to say that this vulnerability could be used to further agendas through manipulation in an organized manner.

    There are a few ways to verify what people are saying, that I know of. One is to use established studies, and another one is to use anecdotes. But if all I have is hearsay from some internet account, then I can't take it as truthful until I have something that can verify it. It doesn't mean I will discard what people say, or not take them seriously, but I will exercise caution.

    Anyway, upon further reflection on what people have said, I am inclined to take the concerns that OP (and others here) express more seriously. It's wrong to say that these people can never exist, and I would not like to invalidate the fears that some women have for such people. I simply reacted based on my own anecdotal experience, but other people can be more unlucky than I, and may develop said fears.

    Yeah, this comic could reflect the feelings of women who were unlucky enough to meet such outrageously bad people, or at least have the fear of meeting such a person.

    But to say that this is the rule is, I feel, a stretch.

    Cheetahs are 1/2 the speed of airplanes and 1/3 the speed of light. Ok, got it.

    @vegantomato@lemmy.world avatar

    y=log_a(x) <=> x=pow(a,y) where "a" is unknown. Let's say the values of the progress bars in the image are in ]0,b]. That puts the cheetah on about b/5. It is know that cheetahs run at a maximum speed of 75mph. This gives us b/5=log_a(75) <=> pow(a,b/5)=75 <=> a=pow(75,5/b) Therefore, we have the relationship x=pow(75,pow(5/b,y)).

    For the speed of light, y=((b×3)/5). It is known that the speed of light is 671000000mph. That gives us x=pow(75,pow(5/b,(b×3)/5))=671000000mph <=> pow(75,pow(5/b,b))=514285405839088.
    For the airplane, y=((b×2)/5). The fastest airplane flied at about 2200mph. That gives us x=pow(75,pow(5/b,(b×2)/5))=2200mph <=> pow(75,pow(5/b,b))=227016123.

    514285405839088 =/= 227016123 (contradiction).

    Cannot be a logarithmic scale.

    Porn addict installing Linux

    Becomes a femboy

    Linux doesn't make you a degen, watching porn does. Which OS you use is orthogonal to your porn habbits ;)

    It's probably astroturfed by a few loud trannies (porn addicts) who haven't seen the sun for a few months. If you check out the "code of conduct" of Lemmy and their criterias for delisting instances, you will understand why stuff like this survives and thrives. In an organic social media environment these people would've been called out x1000 harder for being obnoxious, making no sense, or being degenerates.

    If I had to pick a friend, I'd pick the fat guy. He is probably more wholesome than the guy that destroyed his brain by watching too much porn/anime garbage.

    vegantomato ,
    @vegantomato@lemmy.world avatar

    It's good that you make that known. I hope that you find a good alternative.

    Personally, I'm also jumping out if common sense gets too censored around here.

    This is referring to a few books that were banned from school libraries a while ago (not sure what they were doing there in the first place).

    Anyway, one of the books that were banned showed males sucking each other off. That's hardly something you would be eager to show a kid unless you are a groomer. A common theme between these books in general was that they were pornographic. The fact that there was, and still is an outrage from the LGBT community till this day because of the bans is telling.

    Also, do make note of the people here comparing the bans to Nazi Germany. Yeah, not showing kids gay porn is like being a Nazi, apparently. Disgusting.
