verstra OP , to Selfhosted in Electricians of fediverse, should I have my selfhosting box grounded?

My house was built in 1939. Initial installation of ecectric cables consisted of a wire in a sleeve filled over with concrete. That was all replaced with proper tubing and isolation, but these few outlets do not have ground.

Wait what? What does that even mean? Is he their boss? Is he paying them? Does he mind control them?

I didn't even notice the new actors, a testimony to how good they are!

verstra , to Selfhosted in what's your favorite kanban board?

I use planka, which feels exactly like what trello used to feel: fast & simple. It does not have an app though.

verstra , to Memes in agile is far left too. I will die on this hill

programming.dev does not get it. Can you explain?

It is kinda obvious that maxist ideas are aligned with the open source ideas. Are they very much against commies?

verstra , to 196 in you know what

8MB is too much for web. 1MB is the upper limit of what i consider ok.

verstra , to Memes in friendmaxxing

I just posted "what" but that seemed too vague so i kept going, but having two comments is also weird so i went all in on the separate comments thing.

And i still dont know what friendmaxxing is

What?

verstra , to Memes in What's the worst that could happen?

If you feel any better: i think that modern requirements for games are bizarrely too high for relatively small gains over what we had 10 years ago.

verstra , to Selfhosted in Is rsync.net a good service for backups?

I've opened up the pricing page, and it seems it is much more expensive then their mainstream competitor Backblaze.
For a terabyte of backup for a month, rsync.net would charge 1024*0.012 = 12$, while Backblaze would charge 6$. Hetzner Storage Box would be only 3.20$ (+better price scaling over terabytes).

What am I missing?

verstra OP , to Selfhosted in Lemmings, what's your self hosted server power usage?

Ok, so most of you also use normal PC processors for your setups. So my power usage is not that high in comparison.

But still, a RaspberryPI would use much less and would still be performant enough.
