I do appreciate when they put actual effot in but with Sponsorblock i rarely see them. This meme still applies for when they get passed sponsorblock though lol
i also have DeArrow and it's such a subtle change that you don't even realize until you're browsing the Tube on another device. Hoooly shit. i could feel the pressure from all the clickbait.
Don't forget to upvote good segments and downvote bad ones. Segments that are downvoted enough get hidden or removed. That's a pretty big part of how they prevent malicious people (possibly with outside instances) from trying to sabotage the network
Ice Cream Sandwich, Martincitopants and NakeyJakey have me going back after sponsorblock skips it, it's just so entertaining i'll take the ad at this point
Danny Gonzalez definitely makes them pretty good too. But I feel like the original ones to make ads entertaining were MBMBAM in the early years. Griffin’s songs, their stupid ass bits? The money zone had me cracking the fuck up. That takes something special for me.
I’ve been going back through early MBMBAM lately. Goddamn, it was pretty much peak podcasting. I stand by that. Early-mid harmontown, early-mid MBMBAM, maybe the first two seasons of My Dad Wrote a Porno, and maybe the first few seasons of Slow Burn. The best podcasts have to offer, I think.
'TomSka and Friends' has good enjoyable ads. They generally only have the one sponsor (Surfshark VPN) but they've done a lot for pushing for more enjoyable ads. Their off the rails skits are ones I don't skip
I loved his video complaining about his search for surfshark's limit on ads, going insane in the process, not finding it, and then just doing a deadpan delivery of surfshark at the end.
This line from the website made my day: There are currently 452.934 users who have submitted 17.125.673 skip segments, which have saved a total of 4185 years and 4.84 days of people's lives.
Are spaces used in place of commas in regular casual conversations, too? In Australia, I've only ever seen them used in really formal documents like financial reports, never really anywhere else
DeArrowis an open source browser extension for crowdsourcing better titles and thumbnails on YouTube. The goal is to make titles accurate and reduce sensationalism. No more arrows, ridiculous faces, and no more clickbait.
Bringus Studios had a video yesterday on the alpha I Dec kit for the original devkit. Not only was the segway pretty slick but it had his signature humor included which actually made me watch through half the ad. First time I didn't skip the sponsor which I think says something about his writing and delivery
