snekerpimp , in Tesla shareholder criticizes Elon Musk’s ‘ridiculous’ $56bn pay deal ahead of vote

He is more of a liability than an asset at this point.

homesweethomeMrL , in Tesla shareholder criticizes Elon Musk’s ‘ridiculous’ $56bn pay deal ahead of vote

So say all of us

Reptorian , in Tesla chair says Elon Musk needs $46 billion pay plan to stay motivated

To them whom won't read this: Well, you can lay him off. You'd be saving billions of dollars.

kaffiene , in Tesla chair says Elon Musk needs $46 billion pay plan to stay motivated

If I was a shareholder I think I'd just take the 46b a year boost and a competent CEO

solsangraal , in Tesla chair says Elon Musk needs $46 billion pay plan to stay motivated

to everyone who invested in this douchecannon: LOL

doctortofu , in Tesla chair says Elon Musk needs $46 billion pay plan to stay motivated

Wow, so shareholders get to save 46 billion AND get this moron to have his tantrums somewhere else? Where's the catch?

Most of the board members are bought loyalist who are only there to say yes master.

AlternatePersonMan ,

$46 billion for a guy who never delivers on his promises, has dropped the stock 30% in a year, layed off their most successful division (the charging network), and has let his company fall behind in tech in a space where they were waaaaay ahead. Also the cyber truck is an absolute joke. Oh right, and pissed off Tesla's strongly left leaning customer base.

If those 14,000 employees cost an average of $150k each, that's still only $2.1 billion. Those employees were vastly more useful than the dipshit at the helm.

If Tesla doesn't separate from Musk, they deserve to go under. Astonishing that they haven't sent him packing already.

retrospectology , in Elon Musk is taking on Tesla “oathbreakers” in fight for his $56 billion pay package
@retrospectology@lemmy.world avatar

He's such an insufferable cringelord.

Eheran , in A Tesla owner says his car’s ‘self-driving’ technology failed to detect a moving train ahead of a crash caught on camera

A moving train ahead of a crash on camera? So two crashes then? What is that headline.

Hotzilla , in Tesla shareholder group opposes Musk’s $46B pay, slams board “dysfunction”

He wants to cash out before Tesla will crash and burn. Predictions are that Tesla is bankrupt in 5 years.

antimidas , in Tesla shareholder group opposes Musk’s $46B pay, slams board “dysfunction”

Guy should slow it down with the withdrawals from Homie Equity Line Of Credit, Tesla is getting stampeded by the more established manufacturers left and right and I don't really see what he should be compensated for, apart from apparently trying to use the company as his personal piggy bank.

In the last few years they've lost the budget EV market to Chinese manufacturers despite BYD cars burning down like candles in a forest fire, conservative German manufacturers like Daimler have caught up in regards to autonomous driving and are making further progress, products are stuck in development hell etc. etc.

It's a really valid point to raise – what exactly has he done lately to deserve the payout? The situation in 2018 was a bit different, but the amount would've been well in the outrageous side even back when the stock was rocketing and the recent controversies weren't all yet a thing.

liquidparasyte , in Tesla’s profitable Supercharger network is in limbo after Musk axed the entire team

Please, please don't tell me that the one single positive thing El Muskrat has contributed to the electric car market is being flushed down the toilet

Pistcow , in Tesla is being investigated for securities and wire fraud for self-driving claims

Self driving-ish

jlow , in Tesla plans to charge some Model Y owners to unlock more range
@jlow@beehaw.org avatar

As if car culture would need enshittification ...

Got_Bent , in Tesla plans to charge some Model Y owners to unlock more range

At some point, my car is going to be a skateboard. These shitty subscriptions that companies are rolling out can bite me.

tux , in Tesla plans to charge some Model Y owners to unlock more range

Looking forward to the lawsuits on this going forward.

Not really sure how you've bought a car if they can paywall physical features. otherwise folks should ask for pay for hauling /storing "tesla's" extra batteries around
