Stuped person says stuped things, people boom

I have trouble with using tone in my words but not interpreting tone from others' words. Weird, isn't it?

    What the hell?

    The only surprise in this news is that the "more like this" sidebar is filled with porn for some reason.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2024-04-25/In_the_media Wikipedia's own coverage, released 4 days ago. The repetition of the Orwellian detail makes me think both were inspired by Novaya Gazeta's coverage from the 11th.

    I wanna know who did the financing for the ad. A tinfoil company? Big Tough Softy Iron? A Goog guy worn off yoga?

    (I aim to not say the fifthglyph for all days to promote !avoid5)

    thought it fit! >:)

    ooh, kinda wonky of los oulipos to call that thing just cuz of that only work which had this gimmick

    also i think that the original book allows using "the", in fact it also allows "me" and forms of "be". so los oulipos gonna <this is hard>, huh?

    (btw i wanted to somehow word in "at least once per day", but found using "per", "every", "for each" etc challenging to translate)

    @melroy This doesn't seem to have federated properly, any ideas?

    Your post displays as an empty but titled text post on mbin.

    New Zealand is not on the list because their government didn't block catbox. Australia, in reaction to the shooting, has blocked it. Catbox obviously doesn't decide who's blocked.

    It's datamining a hidden feature. I'd call that a leek.

    Ah yes, Elon Musk has finally been delegated to his rightful title of Opinion

    What's new is that apparently "We reported these vulnerabilities to all nine vendors. Most vendors responded, took the issue seriously, and fixed the reported vulnerabilities, although some keyboard apps remain vulnerable."

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    What do you think it was? The "rule" to always put that in the title is never enforced.

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    The top of https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/130970, the rules post, says it in "please". Most seem to have interpreted that as a rule.

    The protest is real, the furries are fake

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    Arcade Fire's Funeral came out in 2004 and also defined the genre. I don't see why the accessibility of singles would mean albums still in the album format would get worse.

    yay another seeker!

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    it's kind of like torrenting but there's a search engine, individual transactions are one-to-one, you can browse all the files a user shares, and I don't think ISPs know about it.

    Thanks for the recommendation!

    Where did the name Nicotine come from?

    I was in a geeky mood and was browsing http://www.bash.org’s QDB.
    I stumbled across this quote:

    <etc> so tempting to release a product called ‘nicotine’ and wait for the patches.
    <etc> then i would have a reason to only apply one patch a day. otherwise, i’m going against medical advise.

    So I thought what the hell and bluntly stole etc’s idea.

    Apple Removes WhatsApp, Threads, Telegram, and Signal from China App Store, says it complied with orders from the Chinese government (arstechnica.com)

    Apple said it complied with orders from the Chinese government to remove the Meta-owned WhatsApp and Threads from its App Store in China. Apple also removed Telegram and Signal from China....

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    Unless you plan on installing more than a bit of Chinese apps, in which case the chaotic market of Chinese notification services (made due to the discontinuation of Google's) will consume all your RAM.

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    So if Apple removes it from the app store you're shit outta luck?

    Not if you've installed it before, in which case you can download it from a not-very-well-known purchase history.

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    (Or sideload an additional app to do that for you)

    How would you propose changing the pedal?

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    From the comments:

    When I worked at Boeing, we used dawn dish soap to seat door gaskets. Tesla is just adopting aerospace technologies for its fancy cars, what's the problem?

    Aatube , (edited )
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    The problematic part is a rug, not the pedal

    Edit: Nevermind, misread at 2 am

    Are you not aware of stealth aircraft and evasive maneuvers? Not to mention that missiles won't necessarily down aircraft.

    Jets are a lot more expensive. What's at risk is all these resources for the jet going down the drain.

    Drones are designed without cockpits. Retrofitting remote-control into an F-16 does not seem like the best choice to me.

    And what equipment would that be?

    Aatube OP ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    Electrogravitics seem like a conspiracy theory. Unless they've been around as long as human centrifuges, which DO simulate g-forces, I doubt that they'd be more economical even if they do exist.

    Aatube OP ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    Why do we need "authentic" g-forces to be "created"? As you've said, people already feel g-forces in centrifuges.

    Aatube OP ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    But if we keep developing them...

    Aatube ,
    @Aatube@kbin.melroy.org avatar

    Trying to or successfully shutting down will quickly disable it. I don't think the USA is at the point where we should all worry about arbitrary arrests.

    Aatube ,

    How does that counter the constant extension stoppage?
