One of the maintainers (and possibly the founder) of mbin, a fork of kbin, which is a fediverse platform that combines lemmy and microblog while lookin' gr8. The fork is actually maintained and has actual versions and changelogs while kbin has 3 other very great features and extremely sporadic maintainership (kbin.social, their flagship instance, is currently down as we speak.).

Unfortunately, that's like saying everyone has the right to read any book that IA usually archives for free at any time. Do I agree with that? Yes. Does it hurt intellectual property? Yes. There's obviously evidence that readers used the service a lot. I agree with the principle, but they should've just temporarily "merged" with public libraries and increased borrowing limits for books in stock, not allow everyone in the United States to just get a book as long as they have less than 9 other books as well.

I saw the original LAMF post. A detail missing here was that the inspectors were joking (that it could be dangerous) at first when they saw the cut because even they didn’t know how dangerous it was.

Well, one still could do it like how many countries transitioned to the metric system: slap the traditional names onto things that are actually now defined by the metric system, like how China's catty, about 0.60478... kg, became 0.5kg. Just slap "Letter" onto A4.

Unless it can support the plugins already there (which I doubt... mono doesn't mean we can straight up run DLLs, right?), I'd have to hope it stumbles into an incredible ecosystem. Thanks for the find, I'll be looking out for it. We finally might have one people'd be content using. Now I'm wondering if/when I finally get enough motivation to start making a coverflow or a lyrics-scroll plugin, should I develop for Amarok or Fooyin?

We also used to have Guarapirangua and DeaDBeeF. G ran out of steam, and D decided to fuck over Russian-language users cuz "they country war so they people bad!", angering many plugin developers besides making me morally uncontent with what future decisions they'd make.
