I use incognito mode when I want to search something I don't want the algorithm using for recommendations later.

Same with clicking YouTube videos, works like a charm for curating your feed and not having a single click mean you'll be recommended that stuff for the next 6 months

It pisses me off that they're calling quantum data transmission quantum entanglement, it's not the same thing and it's misleading as fuck.

Quantum entanglement is about two quantum particles sharing the same state which if implemented somehow would allow for universal communication with no time lag. Sending quantum state communication through fiber optic, while an achievement for distributed quantum computing, is not quantum entanglement!!

The domain for my country is .ar and most sites that use said domain use .com.ar

Someone registered com under the .com.ar domain so if you add .com.ar to any url that ends in .com you get redirected to their adware site

Was gonna say, the AI doesn't make up or admit bullshit, its just a very advanced a
prediction algorithm. It responds with what the combination of words that is most likely the expected answer.

Wether that is accurate or not is part of training it but you'll never get 100% accuracy to any query

It's not actually deciding anything, the AI thinking is marketing fluff really. But yes that's called confidence rating and it does. But at the scale of something like chatgpt that uses a snapshot of the entire internet and is non mutable there's no way to train it for every possible question. If you ask about a topic 99% of the internet gets wrong it'll respond the wrong thing with 99% confidence

The Amazon equivalent for my country does this for their site on mobile by removing filters and making it so anything related to your account just tells you to use the app.

However If you toggle desktop mode in your browser everything works perfectly fine. It's almost as if they just want to data mine you. Surely no company would have that as a motive!

Monopolys aren't good either but living in a third world country I can tell you you can find worse problems with state controlled systems than with private companies that at least have to keep you as a client somehow

In my experience government operated facilities are only accountable to the current government so any political wants or ideologies come first.

In a for profit situation without a monopoly the company at least has to try to keep you as a client so there's some give and take.

Taking a monopoly from a company and putting it in the hands of the state is just as bad in my opinion

I've always been surprised to find all the ATMs in my country run different versions of windows (XP, Vista, 7)

Like even from purely an accountant point of view, if you're using some shitty proprietary software why wouldn't you implement it in an OS that doesn't require commercial licences???

Then again the entire software stack of any established financial institution is just spaghetti code and things held on with duct tape and prayers
