Grass ,

I had an nvidia card in my possession briefly recently. when I was testing it I found distros that have a separate nvidia installer image are the way to go if you dont want to have a shit time. Converting a standard image post install is about as much of a shit task as it was back when I had a gtx 460. once its set up either way it seems mostly fine but I already had a more recent amd card and don't want to deal with the kernel module crap. dkms has failed me a few times in the old days and I never forgave it.

Grass ,

time limited opt out should be illegal with real punishments. aint nobody got time for that when working the 3 jobs required to accomplish literally nothing.

Grass ,

don't forget de-extend

Grass ,

the only irl person I know says it like: "no, shit-sherlock" and that's just how I read it in my head now

Grass ,

These were in several of the trades buildings in my post secondary. often stocked with fast orange and sunlight industrial.

CEO of Google Says It Has No Solution for Its AI Providing Wildly Incorrect Information (futurism.com)

You know how Google's new feature called AI Overviews is prone to spitting out wildly incorrect answers to search queries? In one instance, AI Overviews told a user to use glue on pizza to make sure the cheese won't slide off (pssst...please don't do this.)...

An Important Hypothetical - What Android Apps Do You Install?? (sh.itjust.works)

You're twelve years old on Thanksgiving at six thirty in the morning. You'll be leaving for Grandma's in about a half hour, and she's lives a three hour drive away, going in one direction. You have nothing to prepare yourself on this journey, other than a tablet running Android Eleven. Beware, the speaker is broken and there is...

Grass ,

I don't know any russian at all, but its the first time I've seen this and it got a chortle out of me. I think that's three now, but there's surely tons of your older stuff I haven't seen.

Grass ,

yeah I can't imagine someone who does this for a job would carry a claw hammer. or that it would take so many people to bolt down each pylon. like I dunno maybe one or 2 to drill the holes, one to install and bond the studs, one to bolt the pylons down, and a traffic guy in each direction.

Grass ,

oh I've never seen that kind before

Grass ,

I got 32 just so I could hoard more browser tabs. I have a more minimal setup on my laptop that goes with me places and any tabs I anticipate not needing for a couple weeks or more go to the desktop with more ram.

Grass ,

I may have seen that book in the possesion of some lgbt friends. I'm pretty sure it is not implied to be sourced from another species thogh.

Grass ,

I can't believe anyone willingly got this after the monkey testing thing. They have to be taking advantage of people not fit to make decisions for themselves.

Grass ,

Not many options I guess. Sucks to have to gamble on the crazy billionaire with a lot of faulty shit.

Grass ,

I think of things that could be meme templated sometimes when I get annoyed by any hardware or software or both, but I never feel motivated to actually make it. Actually I've never made any meme images at all.

Grass ,

I've never seen/heard anyone refer to them as cents referring to the physical coin rather than the value and calling the coin a penny

Grass ,

What the fuck? Like its not even bga or some other kind of soldering?

Grass ,

Now let's see it on an sff PC mobo.

Grass ,

So I guess it was UV epoxied after soldering and he put new epoxy on with the new nand. Or something along those lines but the component is soldered in a typical way. The rotary tool being used to pull out the residual phone glue is excellent and I feel like I learned something useful even though I'm never going to do an iPhone ram upgrade.

Grass ,

Well fuck. I got all the retard and no flame from all the cars over the years. One more for the multitude of things I've been exposed to that make me stuoid.

Grass , (edited )

I regularly wear socks and sandals along with shorts and a sweater.

There was also a time I went to lunch with that plus a lab coat and hairnet.

Grass ,

I've recently been thinking about what I am calling double or compound walking where you walk with both the joystick and your real body for potentially combined movement speed. I don't have enough room to verify if it works in any games but after I move I have a decently long hallway I could test it in. My thinking is to work around the abysmal stamina in the vr games I've played so far and weirdly slow movement speed.

The holotile would probably need some way to pass its tracking to the game if that was being used though.

Grass ,

I trust Ubuntu about as much as windows

Grass ,

Does this fuck up other stuff though? I used the old telemetry set before but it prevents you from signing in on Xbox account in games

Grass ,

Using Ubuntu is a mistake to begin with.

Grass ,

The domain blacklist I was using was probably excessive then.

Grass ,

At the time it was one of the other options that did the same thing

Grass ,

Instead of this we need EVs that aren't fucking massive.

Grass ,

There's a picture this makes me think of where a bunch of birds are sitting on a tree in typical pyramid hierarchy diagram positions, and each level of birds starting from the second is covered in more shit than the previous.

Grass ,

It's better than the text you see in ai generated images

Grass ,

I don't trust the structural enough to use even if cheap, based on everything else. I could see breaking it down and using specific parts in a custom build using a real car as a base though.

Grass ,

No that's fucking stupid. If pedestrians are in the bike lane they shouldn't even be outside and its a mystery how they didn't die in childhood by walking out in the middle of a highway before that. Get off the phone or get off the drugs or something. Just like cars shouldn't be on the sidewalk or the bike lane. Everyone stays in their own lane and pays attention.

While I'm at it, your mom should be impounded and she is a big wheel bike.

Grass ,

I never thought about this being possible and now I can't help but laugh at how deceptive nature is.

Grass ,

I almost wanted to correct you and say its dual not duel, but when I think about it windows will fight to be the only bootloader right when you think its finally behaving.

Grass ,

One does not simply "switch back". Anyone that stops using Linux was never converted from M$ or A₽₱£€ in the first place, and either was briefly testing it and it didn't work out for them, trying it under duress and it didn't work out for them, or trying it to sound less obviously lying or decades out if date when talking it down. Real Linux users only convert others, or tell you it's actually GNU/Linux, or make sure new users trying out Mint use Debian edition. Real Linux users would use a separate partition or computer for anything that absolutely requires windows that they are unable to part with, even though it can be a pain and windows will periodically try to replace your multi os friendly bootloader with it is own.

Grass ,

Apart from the game mode update notes being hard coded to show steamos updates, bazzite is a drop in replacement that doesn't get rid of your non flatpak packages each update. It also bundles or has easy installation options for all the recommended third party software everyone uses with the deck.

Grass ,

I don't know why people keep defending Bethesda. None of their games that got updates after a long time of nothing improved in any meaningful way. Its a single player game riddled with bugs and after the patch guess what it will still be. If they actually improve the performance that's great since 4 was pretty rough, but why now? Maybe I'm just beating a dead horse armor though...

Grass ,

I'll take gfwl removal but it should have been a crime to implement it in the first place. The current m$ integrations can get fucked too. If you have telemetry blocking via pi hole or similar you can't even sign in. In the case of the game grounded, it would fail to even provide the login screen and just return to the main menu without dropping any sort of error code or message.

Grass ,

It's totally so they can list a really low "starting at" price and then upsell marked up parts in the configurator.

Disclaimer: I didn't read the article and just came in to shit on scummy business practices that I made assumptions about.

Grass ,

The scrolling is really janky and it makes it hard to read, or rather to stay focused. Once I feel like I found the correct pace for the fancy scroll segment, it just rockets past the entire text until the next specialty scroll which moves slower than expected giving the feeling of slamming into corn starch water.

Maybe its the browser or something.

Grass ,

Man its unreal how things have gotten so bad that a children's show staff have to unionize.

On a side note does anyone know if any industries were unionized from the start or did all of them start because of shit work conditions?

Grass ,

Bazzite is good for gaming and porn

Grass ,

As long as it was mint Debian then you are already family and have made a good choice.

Grass ,

Dunno about him, but for me I forget to update it and then when I remember it can't update because its so out of date it cant resolve something or other, and I end up having to just reinstall the latest version and jump through hoops to get the users files to show up, and then one time before as well as the most recent one that made me give up database problems occurred and I don't know how to database.

Grass ,

Yeah there's a local guy that uses something of the same general design. 50mph is pretty scary though that's unexpectedly high. I'll have to look in to how they handle on hills in either direction and if there is somewhere local I can test ride one.
