I thought that the irish were always considered white but faced discrimination due to their nationality itself, along with religion, and typically being poor, more like being viewed as a “lesser” category of whites

Interesting, the basis of that is so strange

Kalothar ,

Does anybody remember a similar mouse trap like game? Like something which pushing blocks and trapping a mouse maybe? Or perhaps you were the mouse and you were avoiding traps to get cheese?

Kalothar , (edited )

That’s because the air nomads are basically Tibetan monks, also annexed by China in the 1950s

FCC to declare AI-generated voices in robocalls illegal under existing law (arstechnica.com)

Robocalls with AI voices to be regulated under Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the agency says. I'm pretty sure this puts us on the timeline where we eventually get incredible, futuristic tech, but computers and robots still sound mechanical and fake.

Kalothar ,

Man some of these are funny, bold and ironic

``
The FCC described the other 12 companies' attached "robocall mitigation plans" as follows:

Humbolt VoIP: "The robocall mitigation plan attached to its certification was a .PNG file depicting an indiscernible object."

Kalothar ,

I like you man, you’re a reasonable fella. I wish Lemmy had superficial awards like Good Samaritan or something.

Kalothar ,

You should either try some drugs or stop trying drugs, one of the two.

Either way, talk to a physician

Basically Elon wants to clone WeChat, Chinas all in one app. He could have started from scratch and had an uphill battle with Twitter as the largest competing company or do this instead.

His PR was already getting shitty before buying Twitter, so he pivoted with his rich boy money like always.

He purchased it , destroying it as a competitor for his X website. He gave X recognition immediately as a platform, and hoping that he retains the partial user base of Twitter as the initial backbone for the app he wanted to build in the first place.

Because that’s what fascists do, delete competition
