Karyoplasma , to Technology in Stealing everything you’ve ever typed or viewed on your own Windows PC is now possible with two lines of code — inside the Copilot+ Recall disaster.

A rotten apple spoils the bunch.

furthering class divide, ultimately leading to a collapse in countries and economies

Might be the cynic in me but I don't think that would be the worst outcome. Maybe it will finally be the straw that breaks the camel's back for people to realize that being a highly replaceable worker drone wage slave isn't really going anywhere for everyone except the top-0.001%.

So you're not for reining in megacorps, just the ones you don't see as a personal benefit.

It's happening because people allow it to happen. I recently unsubbed from a channel because they were beginning to use community posts to promote sponsors. Like a giant fucking post with complete BS like "I always wanted to do X video and now thanks to RAID SHADOW LEGENDS include huge pic it is now reality. Thank you RAID SHADOW LEGENDS and with code BullshitPromoFromYT you get 10% off the newest hat or whatever shit they sell in that game". Some people complained and asked the creator not to do this, but they were quickly flooded by the hordes of "they have to make money somehow"-drones. Despicable.

Access to water should be a human right. But how would Nestlé make money if it were? Think about the shareholders!

Karyoplasma , to Lefty Memes in What Radicalized You?

I used to upload stuff to youtube, mainly for friends to watch, and I got false copyright claims on every single one of them. I concluded that YT does not want me to share videos with my friends, so I stopped.

Karyoplasma , to Technology in Google scrambles to manually remove weird AI answers in search

Captcha was implemented to stop bots and now they are so fucked up that bots are better at solving captchas than humans.

For example the captcha on this site (it's a google search proxy). It took me 4 tries and last time I checked, I was human. To be fair, they call it an intelligence check, so maybe that was the problem.

It will just be exploited by megacorporations and distorted in unimaginable ways to push profit to new heights. Just like every glimmer of hope for the future.

Most LLMs are transformers, in fact GPT stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer. They are a different to Bayesian networks as transformers are not state machines, but rather assign importance according to learned attention based on their training. The main upside of this approach is scalability because it can be easily parallelized due to not relying on states.

There was a cool video on YT that explained how the "tomato drop" in the BK ad was done and how they prep the burgers for the ad. Lemme see if I can find it.

Edit: as I anticipated, putting "ad" or "commercial" in the search bar makes the algorithm cream itself and flood you with shittons of ad and "reaction" videos to said ad.

That happens all the time. ChatGPT did offer a decent solution for my GUI recently tho and suggested a layout manager I haven't used before and didn't even know about.
