I've tried to use DDG for a few weeks now, and I find it gets worse the more specific I search.

For general things, it's fine. But if I'm looking for an installation tutorial for a certain kind of plumbing hardware, it struggles to show me anything but brand and retail pages.

I'm sick of random capitalisations mid sentence. I'm sick of common words being replaced by less common ones or even downright nonsense. I'm sick of it taking three attempts to successfully get the word I want. I swear it's been like this for five years or more. Can we have a better version yet, or at least the old one back?

My friend, I am also slightly nostalgic for the optimism and novelty of the flip phone days. I could text confidently with T9 inside a hoodie pocket during class. But my good friend there is no universe where I want to go back to T9 for the convenience and effectiveness of it. It is not quick compared to anything that came after.

Most people over-index on maximizing compensation or holding on to stability. But there’s more to work than money and stability. Work is about growth, building connections, working on things you care about, being challenged and creating a legacy.

Fucking legacy? Is this a joke? Who gives a shit about what shitty products they launch for FAANG companies? I certainly don't - not beyond keeping my resume and portfolio up to date.

Compensation and stability are the only things that matter beyond basic working conditions and a non-toxic environment.

You misunderstood my comment. These regulations you're talking about either don't exist or they are ineffective, because we are suffering the greatest economic inequality in history while corporate profits are at an all time high.

But good luck, I hope you become super rich doing business so you don't have to suffer with the rest of humanity. Have fun buying clean water tokens in a couple decades!

Highly recommend it. The only thing some people don't like is using a keyboard and mouse on the couch, but there are endless solutions for that.
