FDA approved stainless steel (316L) doesn't actually rust. Otherwise you'd have sprinkles of rust in your food and drink from production, and you'd have to buy new utensils and a kitchen sink because they've rusted.

There are different grades of stainless steel with their varying properties.

This is normal. All of my accounts have looked like this for years. So I imagine every account with Microsoft will see this bombardment of someone trying to get in.

It's not just Microsoft - every server on the internet with an open port gets bombarded all of the time. It's just the way of the internet. So if you move your account to another platform it'll see the same bombardment as it does now.

Do you use your email addresses on websites? I find it hard to believe you don't see this when you look at it in the security page of Outlook if you use your email address for more than just emailing friends and family.

I see no difference between creating a fake video/image with AI and Adobe's packages. So to me this isn't an AI problem, it's a problem that should have been resolved a couple of decades ago.

Hello all, recently wanted to signup for temporary permanent legit emailmid in gmail. It was asking me Phone number in process, i tried to use multiple numbers from regular online resources ( more than 30) but nothing worked. I don't want to give my personal phone number in real life to someone's unless Its I want to....

You could always get a PAYG SIM as a secondary number.

This is what I do. It costs me 50 cents every few months to keep alive. I only loaded it with $5 of credit, so I can ditch the SIM and get a new one at any time. The provider I went with didn't ask for any personal details and only wanted payment.

My country is probably different to yours. But I just visited their store. You can order them online from their stores too.

PAYG is a little confusing these days because every network provider is advertising it as if it's a pre-paid monthly plan. Ie. Top up $10 every month to get x bundle. But they're just the same as back in the day; they just massively emphasize the deals you can get when you top up every month because they want as much money as possible.

If you read their terms and conditions, they state that the regular price for a text, a call, a MB of data is y when you haven't qualified for a bundle. Don't get me wrong, the out of bundle prices are shockingly expensive but if like me, you want it to mainly receive and very rarely send it's not that bad at all.

I use my PAYG SIM as a secondary SIM. It would be too expensive to use as my main SIM. For the same allowance, the best PAYG bundle I could find was twice the price as my regular monthly contract.

There are machines that still use floppy disks as their only method to transfer on/off the machine. By machines I mean expensive hundreds of thousands of dollars research or production machines.

My Android phone has stock apps with the capability of coloring the screen to any color I desire. I'm sure Apple does too, and so do computer OSs.

The simpler method is to load whatever stock application that came on your mobile device/computer OS that allows you to color the screen exactly as you desire. They're offline too.

Gallery and Samsung Notes are the two that I'm aware of. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a stock drawing app that I uninstalled.

Rootful docker and rootless docker can be run at the same time on the same machine too. So projects that require root privileges can still work on a machine where most other projects run as rootless.

I've recently driven a brand new 2023/2024 Maxus T90EV. It had 15 miles on the clock when I drove it. These are the problems I experienced with it and these aren't even touching on my preferences like I thought the seats were uncomfortable, or that regenerative braking is quite aggressive and can't be changed. So I doubt China EVs are going to take over, not in 2024 at least.

  • Auto lights didn't work
  • Auto wipers didn't work
  • Intermittent wipers didn't work
  • Rear view camera was really poor quality
  • Infotainment system crashed, where I had to walk away from the vehicle with it still in its crashed state. At some point it finally turned off and worked again on the next drive
  • Bluetooth audio kept crashing
  • Infotainment system is really basic
  • Shudders when driving on the factory set speed limiter
  • No driving aids like cruise control or driver defined speed limiter
