I guess I could upload the kra files (there are four of them since I made each panel separately, exported them to png and arranged them a fourth krita doc). Tho if I did that, would it even count as open source? A .kra file isn't really a source code, it's an archive that contains binaries.

Thanks!

Uh, by accident. I'll edit the link.

I have no idea how British people pronounce it, I don't believe I've ever discussed water bottles with a British person. I jut saw the meme and was reminded of another meme I'd once seen.

Wow, you go straight to hating it without leaving your seat? I usually have to either go to sleep or go out to do something else to leave some time for my idea of the drawing to grow further from the actual drawing before it happens.

[Edit: I answered as if it were about a drawing when it's about a text. I don't have any funny or useful insight to give about the later, since I can't relate: Everything I've ever written was perfect. Also, I don't write.]

He'll get very virulent in the X vs Wayland debate before he even learns what these mean.

If a RHT^1 is causing if I find that not only the FYGAT^2 doesn't always suffice, but the intuitive technique of TOSE^3 tends to be counterproductive.
What I do to stop RHTs is instead broadening my field of vision to look at everything at once and simultaneously trying to listen to every sound I can hear at once. Any given thought or information can be somehow integrated into a RHT and feed it, but many informations at once can't.

Aarrr (lemmy.world)

4 panel comic by War and Peas. 1. Panel shows two pirates, the first pirate speaks "Captain, our rivals have been calling us names again." 2. Panel: The pirate continues, "They said we were a bunch of handicaps." 3. Panel: The captain himself says, "That's ableism! And we don't tolerate that kind of talk here". 4.Panel: The ship...

So it's trying to make sense of something that doesn't. The original sentence was probably AI generated, or if not, whoever wrote this must've been going through some stuff.

If this still doesn't make sense to you, maybe watch the movie "Platoon"

loaExMachina ,

Sometimes yeah, but other times it's really just one song. For example, I really like the song "Ruler of Everything" by Tally Hall, but when I tried listening to more of their stuff I mostly didn't like it. There are also many intermediate cases. I can confidently say "Eh el Ibara" by Masar is my favorite music ever. As for the album it's from, "El 'Aysh Wel Mehl", it's a solid album, maybe in my top 12. Same for the band in general. The leader/composer Hazem Shaheen might be ranked a bit higher, like maybe my 6th or 7th favorite musician, because I also like some of the other songs he made without this band, like "Horse of Darwish". But there are more instances where I'll want to listen to just my 1 favorite song rather than to my 12th favorite album entirely.

Keep breaking my system while trying to fix bugs, then fix or reinstall, distro-hop when I'm out of bugs, call it permanent revolution.

MASTERS OF PUPPETS ARE PULLING YOUR STRIINGS

loaExMachina ,

I heard a guy once tried to make his Linux work without compiling Hannah Montana Linux. It was obviously a failure from the start, but the madman raged on. In his hubris, he obstinately weaved lines of code to make something... Anything that would seem to function as an OS, at least from the surface, no matter what cursed and bloated horrors laid beneath.

An insane smile cracked on his face as lightning in the night sky as he'd finally made his monitor display a pop-up window that read "hello world".
Soon he'd ironed out the details of all the other stuff an OS was supposed to do, an released his abomination upon the market... Keeping it closed source so no-one could see what sacrilege he'd done to get there, and also so that he could make a buttload of money.

Thus was born Microsoft Windows.

loaExMachina ,

Yeah, the guy who won the civil war against Mircus Anthonix. So sad how CLIopatra killed herself afterwards.
He made impressive conquests tho.

Children should be given guns and sent individually in the same forest on a moonless night. Let them figure out for themselves which course of action maximizes the likelihood of a good outcome and minimizes that of a bad one for them when they hear another kid between hiding, calling out and shooting.

loaExMachina ,

I wonder what would offend Linus more: A version of the Linux Kernel with C++ or one that breaks the userspace...

loaExMachina ,

It's not that any of us really like SteamOS per se, but the work Valve devs did on graphic drivers and Proton benefits all distros thanks to the GPL.

loaExMachina ,

Oh, so that's how the Linux legionaries end up walking with federate allies in a misty forest...

What's the insigna on the shield of the penguin next to the one with the Gentoo insignia?

loaExMachina ,

Oh alright, my bad, I because of it being between Gentoo and Arch and being vocally disctrustful of Matacorp, I had assumed it was some minimalist independent Linux distro I didn't know of. Just a case of me overthinking. Well, I've bothered you enough, I'll be on my way now.

... Oh , wait, one last thing-

Mata Columbo

You mentioned that you couldn't draw right? And if you say so, I guess it must be true, I definitely wouldn't want to contradict you... But you see, my wife, she really enjoys these comics by this French guy, Moebius. Really talented guy, anyone can see from some of his illustrations. But there are other pages where his characters look less detailed, the lines more... "wobbly", you'll forgive my lack of a better word, but it's funny, don't you think? Why would a clearly talented artist make their illustrations look more sketchy? Apparently, it has to do with making it fit more in an absurd surreal type of atmosphere, you know, kind of like the one of Analog Nowhere.
But you see, I've heard from a friend that the hardest things when drawing comics was not actually to have realistic, or even good looking characters, but to have some clarity in the setting composition and a consistency in the character's designs. Now, isn't that strange that while reading your comics, I never had to wonder who's who, or where they are, or who's in the front or in the back? Funny how the settings and the character's positions in them always seem to make sense without thinking about it, as if it was actually made by a terribly talented artist, and that the seemingly messy style was really a refined technique to strengthen the surreal atmosphere. Now that sounds almost more plausible than your claim that you "can't draw".
But now, why would someone that talented not make the Ubuntu logo more recognizable? It seems like even someone even less talented could've made it... If they used a reference. Now imagine this: The very talented artist has almost finished an incredibly good piece, it has a nice composition, with depth, and detailed outfits, all very clear and intelligible, while still having this "wobbly" style to stay surreal, now that must have taken them a lot of time and efforts... And by the time they make the insignia on a character's shield, they might've been tired. They may even have neglected to use a reference, after all, they know all about this linoxes and distroos and whatchamacallit. They think they can make it without a reference. Now, as you know, drawing without a reference is a serious offense. You might want to contact a lawyer.

This seems to implies journalists control the US government and corporations, which has interesting potential as a conspiracy theory...

loaExMachina ,

That still fits the definition of "unstable equilibrium".

"Unstable" means that a slight perturbation can disrupt the system... Basically, if something is moved a little, it'll keep moving.
Suppose it's held in balance by the repartition of weights. Rotate it by just a few degrees, and suddenly the center of gravity has moved away from the plan containing the axis of the wheel, meaning it now has a momentum and will keep turning, and the pots will likely be smashed.

The wheel can stay still an unlimited amount of time as long as nothing moves it... But anything could give the starting push.

loaExMachina ,

Weather apps, huh? Ever heard of looking out the window?

loaExMachina ,

Are we gonna do every animal now? Ok, I'm in.

loaExMachina ,

I simply move my hand between two well defined positions to make bits, if I do it very quickly I can compute.

loaExMachina OP ,

Perhaps I should stop making memes when I'm tired . However, I'm usually busy the rest of the time...

loaExMachina OP ,

Maybe it was, just not my intention. Rather, that of the Open Clan's spirit which guided my hand.
