What a metaphor for life. For people with good parents I imagine. Feeling comfy, want to go out into the world, gets dropped, freaks out, and then grows into something bigger and stronger than they coulda imagined!

Again. For people with good parents. I imagine.

When I see things like this it’s nice to then come back and divulge in the comments what the meat is.

I don’t get what they did with the hot dog bun. At first I didn’t get it, then I thought I got it as a euphemism with the hot dog, but the bun really throws me off. Help?

Why don’t company’s pay their CEOs in exposure and sense of pride? If it’s good enough for moderators and artists it should be good for CEOs.

What do you mean when you say you “learned” to not eat lunch at lunchtime? We’re you punished?

moistclump ,

Yeh I wonder if this is more the reason. It’s too easy for people to unsubscribe. I much prefer doing any subs through Apple for this reason.

moistclump ,

Agreed. And seems wild to allow that kind of coercion from powerful people to move into the human body stage without air tight everything.

moistclump ,

And I, for one, think that’s beautiful.

What is serco and what does hour on hour off pattern look like for working? Like 8 hour shift but you only work 4 of them?

moistclump ,

You requested that from a company or government? I don’t doubt it’s true I’m just surprised that they would be able to coordinate something like that or that massive businesses would do something in the best interest of pensions?

I think occums razor here is just that companies want to pay people off without the expense. That’s the thing that has more of an immediate impact on the companies and their bottom lines.

Canada put a law in place last year requiring meta and Google to pay for users clicks into Canadian media. Facebook stopped allowing the sharing of our reputable news sources and I was temporarily impressed that Google continued on.

Every other-car emphasis rather than every-other car.

I started thinking about this as a kid and I still sometimes get an overflowing realization in a moment of traffic or walk. I got my pilots license a few years ago too and when I’d be up in the air and looking at all the tiny people, cars, homes. It just blew my mind. They’re all people with their own thoughts today and some are mundane and routine and some lives got turned upside down this week and some are happy and some are in chronic pain.

    Man. People, ammirite?

    moistclump ,

Yeh I’d be curious if these people ever intended to hang on to it or off it was just for the grams.

Half decade sounds longer than 5 years. Someone could have started highschool, and by the end of highschool be in a completely different price market than before. 5 years is way too quick for these things to change that much.

I don’t disagree with the premise of the article, just feels out of touch to slap as a comment on a 25+ year old comic about 6 year olds. There’s plenty of comments from current people on a forum like this calling eachother morons that you could respond with an article like that.
