BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Memes in Hey she tried her best ok

Growing up, my mom always, always cut my sandwiches in half to make two rectangles. I asked her why at some point, and she said when she was growing up, her mother always cut her sandwiches into triangles, and she hated it. So when she moved out, she basically vowed to only cut sandwiches into rectangles.

I hated the rectangles growing up, and cut all of mine into two triangles now that I'm on my own. 😆 Funny how the world works, hahaha

THERE IT IS EVERYONE!!! Troll can't be happy unless they're moving the goal posts, now they need thorough context for each and every word Musk has ever said!!

To answer your question, despite you not asking it in good faith and then following it up with two uses of the R-slur: A female journalist raised legitimate criticism of Musk, and he completely disregarded everything she had to say. That's childish, and misogynist, since I'm sure if Daddy Trump or Papa Putin weighed criticism on him, he wouldn't have dismissed it.

So I answered your fucking question and gave you "sPeCiFicAlLy" what you asked for, so you're fucking welcome, troll, not that you know how to say "thank you."

And reported for use of the R-slur.

I'm not really interested in your bullshit anymore. There are tweets, from him. There are articles about him quoting tweets he's used highlighting everything everyone here us telling you. Fucking happy? Can you fucking comprehend now? They're his words, from his official verified X account.

"FYI I specifically asked for" GO FUCK YOURSELF. I specifically told you to fucking use your fucking brain and Google all of this, but you refuse, because you're a fucking troll just like Musk, whose cock you have so far down your throat it's tickling your taint.

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Technology in Elon Musk Begs Advertisers to Return as Twitter's Revenue Plunges

He made "cis" a slur on Twitter because it upsets him that his ex who left him is trans, and he hates trans people. He's had plenty of tweets and posts complaining about pronouns, trans people in general, and so on.

I can't speak to the misogyny (but I'm sure it's there), but instead if arguing with people about you "jUsT aSkInG a QuEsTiOn" you could just Google "Elon Musk queerphobic tweets" and Google will supply plenty.

I did, and the first two results were articles from former Twitter/X employees claiming there were homophobic and anti-semitic attacks on the platform after Musk took over. So yeah... Not sure what you want anyone here to do for you that you can't do yourself via a Google search, you clearly know how to type, and the phrase I suggested is less characters than all your comments combined.

Edit: And then after you did some googling and found the answers, you could edit your comment to say, "Wow, hey guys, I was wrong, he really is misogynistic queerphobic piece of shit," and be done with it, instead of doubling down like a troll.

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Technology in Move over, Ford and Chevy: Kei trucks are pulling up as customers opt for smaller, cheaper vehicles

Yep, I'm a contractor, I would absolutely only own one to use for work if I had a big property, and it'd be groundskeeping. Just FYI though, Kei trucks are used as contractor/work trucks in Japan, as are Kei vans.

But your average person's Home Depot trip isn't going to be close to what a contractor would use. And, just like what currently happens, if your vehicle can't handle an outlying circumstance, you either rent one that can or have the materials delivered.

So beyond work applications, and towing which most people don't need the size vehicle they have for what they're towing, modern pickup trucks are oversized and unnecessary for probably 95% of people.

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Technology in Move over, Ford and Chevy: Kei trucks are pulling up as customers opt for smaller, cheaper vehicles

Kei trucks have the same, if not slightly bigger/smaller, bed size as a modern F-150. But they're basically the size of Honda Fits.

I've wanted one since I worked for USPS and learned to drive on the right side of a vehicle. My state does allow you to register them and drive them on the road, but alas, I cannot afford one. :(

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to In Person Activism in The mailboxes in my building have a recycling box next to them which is always full

No, it wouldn't work in the US. I won't touch on anything the other commenter said, they are correct, I'd just like to add a few things.

When I was a carrier, I used to open mailboxes and find basically those car windshield flyers sometimes stuffed in the mailbox. Since they weren't delivered by USPS, and don't have proper postage, we were technically supposed to and allowed to take them all back to the office. Once there, the original owner (so whatever business did these shenanigans) would receive notice from the Postmaster basically saying "You owe us $X amount in postage, and you can't have your flyers back until it's paid." It didn't happen often where I was at, and normally the business owner would just write them off and we'd throw them away.

The bigger issue I always had with customers was the "Current Resident/Postal Resident/Postal Customer/Etc" addressed mail. Yeah, it's a flyer full of coupons you don't want, and it doesn't explicitly say your name, but unfortunately, it is still addressed to you, so no, I can't just not deliver it or throw it away. I'd have customers get visibly upset that we kept delivering them, failing to recognize that they weren't the customer in that transaction.

Basically: USPS only delivers things that have proper postage paid, while mail delivery itself is a free service. So if you didn't pay the postage, you aren't the customer. So all those spam flyers and newspapers and crap that say "Current Resident" and all that, USPS was paid to deliver them, and would be breaking the law if they didn't. Is it annoying af? Absolutely, believe me, when I worked there, I would've preferred to save my back/shoulder and throw them out too, but that's not how it works, and people (not you OP) need to get over the entitlement mentality of "but I don't want them delivered to me!!!"

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Comic Strips in White Dudes in Winter

Could be, I've honestly never given it much thought, it's just what I tend to be most comfortable wearing. I wore shorts growing up and through my time in the military, but after that, I kinda just... Stopped? I am definitely a creature of habit, so probably subconsciously it's a consistency thing for me.

I'm also pretty skinny, so I get cold easily and prefer the warmth that long pants provide regardless of weather, and the protection they offer from nature and the elements (hence why I wore them year round at the Post Office). But fabric doesn't matter to me, or brand or any of that, just that they're the proper length.

For shoes, I just don't like having my feet out in the world, and don't like how loose sandals/flip flops feel while wearing them. I also don't like how the interior of shoes feel against bare feet, hence why socks and shoes go hand in hand (no boat shoes for me). Now that I'm typing that out, I just don't like my bare feet touching anything, really, like, I'm one of those people who wears socks in their own home constantly except when I'm sleeping.

It does simplify dressing myself, since I know it's always gonna be socks+jeans/pants+T-shirt/long sleeve/hoodie. I've also had to wear long pants at every job I've ever had (minus the Post Office), so at some point it may have just set in that it's easier to just wear pants regardless of what I'm doing. 🤷‍♀️

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Comic Strips in White Dudes in Winter

I'm the opposite: I wear long pants, shoes, and socks year round, only my upper garments change for the seasons (T-shirts in the summer, long sleeves in the spring/fall, hoodies/jackets in the winter).

90°F outside? I'm in jeans. Going to the beach? Socks and sneakers, baby (though I'll wear bathing trunks). Even when I was a mail carrier walking literally 10 miles a day in 90% humidity, I was wearing long pants. My coworkers/customers thought I was crazy, and maybe I am, but that's just how it be.

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to 196 in Egg Rule

I'm in the same boat, I have two grocery stores, three gas stations, a bank, several fast food/take out restaurants, a Home Depot, a pharmacy, and several walking trails, all within about a 10-15 minute walk from my house. Also live in suburbia, and would like to get a bike this summer to start cutting out driving.

Can't eliminate most of my driving though, I work about 30 minutes from home for a general contractor, and public transport would require me to leave my dog alone for over 12 hours a day, which just isn't an option.

Jaysus fucking Christ, didn't realize we had the fucking comment bobbies to dictate how we speak and feel.

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Memes in My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Yeah, I'm not clicking on sketchy websites that come from Russian-State owned media who clearly have no bias in regards to the war they started.

I'm sorry the "fascist West" decided to sanction Russia for their numerous crimes in history, and considering the facts that Russia has sent spies to kill numerous people on foreign soils because they had the audacity to criticize Der Putin, who himself only rose to power by bombing apartment blocks of his own people, maybe you should read sources that, idk, come from less biased organizations?

But what do I know, I just stand with Ukraine's right to defend their country against bullshit wars that the Russian government can't seem to win. Maybe when one of those "fascist West" countries, like Sweden or Finland or even France, claim the Russians didn't shoot down that plane, I'll believe them. But I wouldn't wipe my ass with anything the Russian state wants the world to believe.

BlitzoTheOisSilent , to Memes in My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Ah, another Russian bot, got it.

Did you read the comment I responded to? Calling the West fascist, and using the pro-Russian "the Ukraine" phrase?

Their OP comment was left alone because it stayed true to the meme (and I have no qualms acknowledging the sacrifices and victories the Soviets accomplished during the second world war), but they then took the comment chain off-topic.

Idk what to tell you, mate, if this was supposes to stay on topic about "testosterone-poisoned 'history enthusiasts'" maybe go tell that to the person who initially took it off the rails.

Slava Ukraini!
