Since you are not telling me the issue I cant give you what might have went wrong. You might have learned from that.

One advice, nobody will like linux who painstakingly has to play catchup on the terminal on a pre-baked OS.

All the distros I ever cycled through, I always had issues with pre-baked systems. There are always these little things you expect that does not end up happening even if you sweat blood. Then you start looking and you find out that nobody ever had this and there is no documentation whatsoever.

The only antidote aganist that if you are in control and if it is documented. I only ever liked linux in the advanced form.

How is NixOS going? I am also an Arch convert, but the issue with Gentoo is that it feels like a clusterfuck after days spent on configuration that is not easy to replicate. I mean it works but I might not want to go through it next time.

Weeelll not for long. Open kernel module works like a charm for me. Wayland support is now actively worked on and is already functional for the most part. HDMI 2.1 was always supported while AMD would not be able to. HDR and 10 bit support also dropped just now.

There are 100000 of these happening every year. Every kind of outlet is working on squeezing the fuck out of events like that. You can drop a pin on the ground and the news will try to make the world out of it. Constantly trying to jumpstart some bullshit.

Jesus and "his followers" are more akin to an early psychedelic/hippie movement with all the ideas that came with it. They were in a way the pioneers of society, the one that eventually brought an order of higher level equality.

I think fairphone is more adamant on fair conditions even if it is manufactured in China. Dont they just not want to support US for now?

You most likely can get a decent phone manufactured in decent conditions if you want and dont even need to overpay yourself as much. I have been eyeing Gigaset because it is made in Germany.

Despite that, even most of the people here dont. Little peasant with "sticks" is a bit hypocritical when you have maximum awareness and an ability to start making order in your close proximity.

But you can use them with t-mobile based on a faq about fairphone 4 (most likely 5 as well). That makes sense since they are a german company and Im not sure they would make it that hard on themselves.

See amazon.de. I switched delivery to US and both gigaset and fairphone can be ordered there. There is also teracube which is US based. Also there is Volla which is based on gigaset phones.

I was already contented with the fact that people here were going to circlejerk themselves into this.

Liberalism is an ideology of freedom. Freedom is a matter of circumstances. Being free to exploit others closes down your world thus it is not to be considered liberal. Neither will you be free if you get a cop on every corner or taking away your possessions in the name of equality.

You only really gain freedom through following the intuition on what would open up the world the most for the most people.

For America, the answer is more socialism. But the Democrats and the Republicans are neo-liberals.

Let me put it better: What you told me that you have an issue with is inherently part of every system and will roughly look similar on the same scale in whatever system. So as far as Im concerned, you are not having an issue with capitalism.

Good thing Linus is Swedish. If you knew history and read the wiki, you would know about swedish rule of Finland and that a numerable swedish minority stayed in Finland over the centuries.

Since his father is in the "Swedish Peoples Party", I will assume Finns casually use Swedish as a denomination for people who live in Finland but speak Swedish. I think he also talked about speaking Swedish at his home with his family.

Also dont forget about intel x86 phones from that era. It was a versatile era of chips. There were the Texas Instrument ones as well.
