I hate the guy, but if you get a Ph.D. in a lot of other fields, you don't need a license, and you're still a doctor. I'd argue that if you got the degree, you can be called a doctor. Obviously not a practicing one, but I think you should still have the title.

Again, I hate "Dr." Phil and would be happy if I never saw his face again.

    As far as I know, they didn't show to actually contaminate drinks. There's just lead in places where it doesn't come into contact with the drink. The lawsuit is for not disclosing this information. Or at least that's how the article reads.

    Edit: it was in California, where it's mandatory to say whether or not the product has lead (and probably other things) in it.

    Not necessarily agreeing with the article posted, but for all the people who clearly didn't read the article:

    That's just one paper I found searching for far-UV. Seems to be many more.

    Again not saying it's 100 % safe or anything, but it looks promising.

    I suppose if it was dire you save those 30s, it's acceptable.

    But you would not be immune to being judged by a third party. They wouldn't know the situation is dire unless explaining it, which would take at least a few seconds.
