I pay for a bunch of crap because I split it with my ex, but now I'm waiting for them all to throw a bitch fit over multiple households so I can just go back to the implied activity.

I like paying for things, and have been more accepting than most about price hikes cause I get that servers cost money. Lately though I've been tired of reading about the "pay more as we strip content" strategy everyone is utilizing. The real kicker though is watching people who outright paid for content having it stripped from them.

If purchasing isn't owning, piracy isn't theft. Of course I'm aware of the legal reality of content ownership, but it's still implied that by "purchasing" a title you'll retain access to it. Like on Steam, if something gets pulled but you own it, they still have it tucked away somewhere so you can still download it in the future - They don't just tell you to eat a dick.

    When I was younger, I missed a pair of $5 sunglasses in my cart at Walmart self checkout on a $250 purchase. I was literally tackled in the parking lot.

    In court, the LP manager entered a picture THEY took of the sunglasses with all the labels and tags intact. The judge was moving to rule that there was no intent and therefore not guilty, she cut the judge off mid sentence and told him she watched me remove the tags "and that's intent if I ever saw it." Completely contradicted her own evidence, got me convicted.

    I was denied appeal because an LP manager is a "Professional Witness." But hey sall good these mother fuckers can just say "nuh uh" and coast all the way to scotus. 🙄

    I've dated a couple hot chicks back before OF and cam sites were mainstream, and honestly it's tedious if you aren't equally attractive. I wouldn't have dated them if I wasn't confident in the relationship but it's still tedious when dudes will walk right up to yall and hit on her in front of her when you're obviously together.

    I agree that it sucks that we need people to help pick up the slack in our social nets and whatnot, but I think it's unfair that people attack Mr beast for using that YouTube money to help people to make more YouTube money to help more people. Loads of these youtubers rake in more and do jack with it but never face any individual flak, but he does something different and he becomes the poster boy of evil youtuber to people.

    FWIW Beast Philanthropy is a registered 501c3, feeds like over half of NC, and has done alot of disaster relief work in a bunch of states and a handful of countries. I don't think it's evil that they shoot some footage in the process and a quick ad read to feed 100% of the revenue from the philanthropy channel back into the 501c3.

    ~ 12 years ago I got an 04 rodeo for $1k and kept it running for a decade until it died over covid. That same $1k 2004 clunker that'll still be in the shop for something every couple of months (even more so now 12 years later) is going to be 3-4k.
