Some absolute imbicile waved a child across straight into the path of a car outside a school just the other week. Thankfully only broken bones. A few months before that a resident on the same street drove straight into the back of my parked van. Their reasoning was that the windscreen was all fogged up. Drivers scare the shit out of me.

FellowEnt ,

I should probably look into why my absolute beast of a machine apparently isn't compatible with W11. I've just been ignoring it forever.

FellowEnt ,

Thanks, seems easy enough! Unfortunately my work revolves around the Adobe suite so it's W11 fun times for me yay

FellowEnt ,

Postie legs! I am a proud owner of some Royal Mail branded shorts and I occasionally cosplay as a postie with my hot Scottish legs.

FellowEnt ,

Pretty sure they're issued to staff and you can't buy them, they do seem to be higher quality than the usual corporate branded sheite. Had them for a few years now and my plums remain well secured.

FellowEnt ,

Thrure using analogue for the kamikazi drones no?

FellowEnt ,

Pressure cooker is the way for dry foods. Mine will do split peas lentils and mung bean stew in 12 mins.

FellowEnt ,

Fair, but it's also the kind of thing that can be found for very cheap/free if you don't mind second hand

FellowEnt ,

Shouldn't the H be an '? As in silent and never written? I've never heard the H pronounced or seen it written.

Are there any genuine benefits to AI?

I can see some minor benefits - I use it for the odd bit of mundane writing and some of the image creation stuff is interesting,, and I knew that a lot of people use it for coding etc - but mostly it seems to be about making more cash for corporations and stuffing the internet with bots and fake content. Am I missing something...

FellowEnt ,

It's sped up my retouching workflows. I can automate things that a few years ago would've needed quite a lot of time spent with manual brush work.

Also in the creative industries, it's a massive time saver for conceptual work. Think storyboarding and scamping, first stage visuals that kind of thing.

FellowEnt ,

Fwiw I had a similar flurry of failed attempts from exactly those countries a few days ago.

FellowEnt ,

You're supposed to put your hand inside the horn, also he has no fingers on the keys so can only blow F-major arpeggios.

FellowEnt ,

Where are you getting that definition from? Oxford's is "a medium consisting of immersive computer-generated environments in which elements of a physical and virtual environment are combined."

"visitors will be able to watch a tennis match broadcast in mixed reality"

You think VR is a joke but bought 4 HMDs?

FellowEnt ,

Kinda had an affair with a woman who married at 24 and regretted not 'playing the field'. She ended up getting pregnant with her husband shortly after and I really hope they make it last, but I have a horrible feeling it was a doomed attempt to fix their relationship with a child.

FellowEnt ,

What if it's 50/50 text-to-image and manual brush work?

FellowEnt ,

Does it stay multimedia art till it's 99% text-to-image or is there a cutoff?!

FellowEnt ,

Mate of mine said it was controversial but the subscription is to opt into their telemetry feedback system and improve the algorithm via firmware updates. When they go off when they shouldn't you're gonna have a bad time. He did not mention the remote bricking part, yikes.
