As others have said, the analogy is wrong, but for different reasons than what I've seen.

A better analogy is an abusive relationship. There's your partner who beats you regularly. You're often left bruised. You talk about leaving and the response is 'the other guy will break your arms, and unless you agree to stay with me, they're moving in and they will break your arms. I'm still punching you, and there's no chance I'll stop, but I'm better than that person.'

There is a cycle of abuse. Look it up. There's no way to make an abusive relationship better. There's very little chance that a person will change while they have power over a victim. Power gives up nothing without a fight.

The abuser might change, but only after reflection and a loss of power.

Jaytreeman ,

You've got some good points. Keep up the good fight

Jaytreeman ,

Lenin and the Bolsheviks essentially legalized it though.
Nobody likes Stalin. If you do, think about your life and your place in the world

Bidens done so many speeches that have been interrupted by anti genocide protesters, one 17 times.
All he has to do to secure this vote is be anti genocide. And we still get people saying 'he's better than the other guy'

4 years ago it was vote Biden because he could be pushed left. Turns out that was a lie.

This whole discourse is designed to prop up a system that's fundamentally broken. Americans should be having some very uncomfortable discussions with each other.

Jaytreeman ,

Voting is the minimum. The reason there's no decent alternative is because people vote and think they did their part.

If you're voting for the lesser of two evils and that lesser is actively supporting genocide, but you're complaining about people that are saying 'both sides bad'...

'If you're curious what you would do to stand up against genocide, you're doing it now' - a braver man than me

Jaytreeman ,

In Canada there are communities that have been under boil water advisories for years

Jaytreeman ,

Pick an issue. Literally any issue. Canada isn't on the morally right side (with the exception of supporting Ukraine's war for freedom).
People are fine. Landscape is amazing. Government at all levels needs to be gone. We'd be better off with actual criminal mobs running everything. They'd at least be competent

One of the defining traits of the left is empathy.
One of the defining traits of humanity is empathy.
If you're not left you're less than. I said it. I stand by it.

Jaytreeman ,

I appreciate you

Gus was likeable and cared for his employees. Gus, along with Jesse, were the heroes of that story.
I'd choose to have a beer with Gus over JP any day of the week

Jaytreeman ,

Probably.
When Jesse was going through a time Gus offered him time off to take care of himself. When he brought Jesse and Mike through a dangerous mission, he ensured they'd get the proper medical care... His whole reason for being in that business was to destroy a ruthless family.

Jaytreeman ,

I remember just hating the guy in the first couple episodes too. He's the least likable protagonist I can think of

Jaytreeman ,

I've noticed that the more German posts I see the better the overall content.
I see 'ish iel' I upvote

Jaytreeman ,

Joe:'I'll beat you to death with her leg.'
Steve:'why are you going to dismember your wife?'
