Reusable second stage, and more economic rockets with better turnaround.

Elon is stupid and has a lot of money. SpaceX somehow got competent people managing him to somehow steer the company in decent direction.

I have read some headline that said that some of these models just measure age of a patient and a quality of the machine making photos.

Ludrol ,

Still AI misalignment is a real issue. I just don't remember which model was studied and had been found out that it was missaligned.

I got my rift s shelved because broken cable and replacement costs more than used quest 2. I don't even bother migrating, as all my games are on steam.

Summoning space horrors beyond comprehension aka kraken

The [REDACTED] and [DATA EXPUNGED] I think are most horrible things to do there.

Operating spacecraft without a license. Not paying attention to the road with autopilot on.

A classic misaligment problem. Human wanted a fair wage, AI gave a number that would please the human.

Modem translates fiber signals / DSL into twisted pair cable

Acces point translates twisted pair into wifi

I think you are looking for all in one router

Imagine if you have your email compromised then it is too easy to loose all your accounts if changing the email is easy

Ludrol ,
@Ludrol@szmer.info avatar

Not giving people the option to change their email makes a hacker's job much easier!

What?! How!?

Layperson uses same email, same username, same password and 2fa only if it is required for an account.

Anything more and they aren't the layperson anymore. They are security conscious that they use difffrent passwords or password manager.

Anything more and they become paranoid (rightfuly or not, it isn't for me to judge as there are jobs that require as much protection as possible)

When an email is compromised, changed and there isn't any footprint due to deletion of any suspicious activity then laypersons whole internet presence is compromised.

Emails will keep incoming into the same inbox when there is suspicious activity, if email can't be changed easily

For AI/ML workloads the VRAM is king

As you are starting out something older with lots of VRAM would be better than something faster with less VRAM for the same price.

The 4060 ti is a good baseline to compare against as it has a 16GB variant

"Minimum" VRAM for ML is around 10GB the more the better, less VRAM could be usable but with sacrefices with speed and quality.

If you like that stuff in couple of months, you could sell the GPU that you would buy and swap it with 4090 super

For AMD support is confusing as there is no official support for rocm (for mid range GPUs) on linux but someone said that it works.

There is new ZLUDA that enables running CUDA workloads on ROCm

https://www.xda-developers.com/nvidia-cuda-amd-zluda/

I don't have enough info to reccomend AMD cards

VPN and Tor use on the lemmy verse, is it banned ?

Hi, I have noticed for three days now not being able to post comments from my Lemmy.world account while connected via Tor (I was left waiting for a spinning wheel )! I thought at first It might be a problem with LW servers but after three days, I concluded they are banning Tor and VPN users from posting, I Have found a user...

Ludrol ,
@Ludrol@szmer.info avatar

Lemmy.world had announcement a while ago that they won't support creating content with VPN and Tor due to CSAM spam that is going on

Don't worry we already have Zodiac 2.0

Ludrol ,

For VR it makes sense as lenses and displays are super fragile and need to be aligned to sub mm precision. But still the battery pack shoudn't use the proprietary connector for the battery.
